The Soot Slayer was great. We got a quote from another company wanting us to replace our chimney liner for about $2,000. Then we got a quote from Richard which was way less; he said we didn't need to replace our liner, he could clean it. He took care of it and it was less $$ than he thought it would be.

Rick came into our home without wearing a mask. When I asked and requested him to, he told me that the Pandemic (for which we have a mask mandate for all businesses) was like the common cold. When I challenged him on this (it IS a mandate whether anyone likes it or not) he waved a hand at me and told me I didn't have to get my chimney cleaned, although he'd been hired to do so. He also made fun of me for using a creosote log, although this was recommended by our previous chimney sweep. He had been in countless homes before mine on this day and refused to wear a mask.
