Waikiki Yacht Club (WYC), situated at the edge of Honolulu's Ala Moana Beach Park and the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor, is one of the premier yacht clubs in the Pacific. It has been the home to sailboat racers and fishing enthusiasts since 1944. The club welcomes sailors to its docks and extends reciprocity to visiting yacht club members from around the world.
WYC's monthly magazine, Windward Beat, connects members at home in Hawaii and across the seven seas. Hear from board members, read articles about events and activities, and see which companies are advertising their products and services to you. The Windward Beat is published monthly, and is available online, at the club, and via mail to members who wish to receive a printed copy.
WYC's races are run by our all-volunteer Race Committee. They're the folks who you see on the little bobbing boat anchored at the right end of the start line, valiantly keeping time with the official sandglass, raising signal flags in the correct sequence and sounding the horn to alert sailors to the countdown time, all while holding on with two hands.
Training for the Na 'Ohana O Na Hui Wa'a Regatta Season starts in March and goes through the end of May. Hui Wa'a distance races are between 9 and 12 miles in length and average about an hour and a half to complete. These races are all "iron", that is, there are no water changes required. As a member of Hui Wa'a, WYC is required to race ten (10) crews during the pre-season races.
Fridays 11am until 9pm Saturdays from 11am till 8pm. These items can be enjoyed in the bar or out on the wharf. Friday and Saturdays nights we have live music. Come Down and enjoy our club. WYC Commordore's Sunday Brunch Menu Our very popular Sunday Brunch is also served in the dining room as well as the bar and out on the wharf from 10:30am until 2:00pm.

This place isn't exactly a spot you walk in from off the street looking for a meal. To access the Yacht Club, you have to be invited by someone who is already a member. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to visit because my father-in-law was invited by a nice lady who he met at the mall lol.
Inside, the Club is ritzy for sure and exclusive as you are prompted to provide a membership card at the front gate to get in. The restaurant rests on a pier right off the water near Magic Island and the demographic has the feel of a fancy boat club. Aside from the beautiful seaside view, the

Our club is everything a person could need, whether you want to relax in silence, Or party until you fall off your barstool!
Our members are good people, natural down to earth… And not false “snotty” types I have encountered in some clubs. We have a good chef and great staff! Actually I love it there… Particularly sitting on the dock and daydreaming..... enjoying time spent with friends that we invite.
The club is just simply perfect as far as I’m concerned…

Wonderful atmosphere great Wharf Menu! Small suggestion- please discontinue use of plastic straws and plastic cups unless there is a specific request for them. Let’s do our part to save the oceans ! There is really no such thing as “disposable plastic” these single use items last over 200 years. Aloha! Stay Salty!

I'm not a member here, but I recently attended a Mardi Gras party here earlier this month. I've been to a couple of yacht clubs on Oahu, and this one is located in such a beautiful spot. Right on the water looking out to the sea, the view at sunset is nothing short of spectacular.
Ok, this was a special party, so my experience here is based on the Mardi Gras party I attended. First of all, the parking was far away. Getting dressed up for Mardi Gras and wearing heels, it was not fun to walk forever to get to the venue. Once inside, I was a bit disappointed in the size of the place. It

Not a fan. Food wasn't good and our portions were very small. The lamb chops dinner was $30 and you literally got 3 pieces of it. The waitresses hardly ever come by. The pool has a ton of floaty toys in it so you can't really swim. There's no lifeguard on duty so the kids can pretty much run around and do whatever they want at the pool.

Private club for those who love boating/sailing, or exclusivity. My dad's been a member for decades, and a few of his racing trophies are there on display. I learned to sail there, loved to swim in the pool, and only a couple of times went into the Ala Wai Canal. As an adult, I can appreciate a well made vodka soda, a cold beer, and the simple pleasure of sitting around talking story with my girlfriend. I only hope the next time I can time it better so the kitchen and the little store will be open. I would have loved some pupus & a chance to buy my hubs a Hawaiian shirt. Next time...

My worked organized an event here. They booked a big area facing the ocean or pier side. I wasn't too sure if the food is catered there, but I assume so.
The food was nicely set outside. The food included kalua pork sliders, samosa, sandwiches, chicken and beef skewers, and tofu veggie skewers. The food was really yummy! I didn't expect that. It was an appetizer but I was really full.
Service was alright but a bit slow. The servers seem so lost for some reason.
Setting was nice. More better at night because the lights are beautiful. Around Christmas time it has an amazing view!

Got to try this place out because my friend was getting married and held her rehearsal dinner here!
So here's my thoughts...
1 star = customer service: super friendly, helpful, keen on refills and taking plates away as needed (but not overly annoying as to rush you)
1 star = the venue itself: great place to hang out with friends and admire the boats and water
1 star = food: delicious!!! Seriously SO good. From sushi, wontons, to spinach artichoke dip, and even dessert with chocolate covered strawberries.
1 star = option to host a private party: because we were a large party, we reserved

Friday nights here are great. View of the fireworks is amazing and people are very willing to take you out for a cruise if you want. The live bands have also been great.
Staff is incredibly friendly and has a great memory of all the members.
For food I recommend the Reuben and the Creme Brulee. Prices are very reasonable for both food and alcohol.
