American Recycling is one of the largest independently owned collectors, processors, and marketers of recovered paper in the Carolinas. Locally owned and operated by Ron Moore, an industry veteran with over 20 years of experience in every facet of the Recovered Material Business, American Recycling maintains a family-oriented approach to business in all interactions with its associates and customers.
Our facility is ideal for mobile shredding trucks to get in quickly, dump and get back on the road. Our prices are the highest in the upstate due to our supply agreements with consuming paper mills. We offer storage containers or trailers and pickup service for all commodities including residential recyclables.
As we grew, our waste volumes became quite a hassle and labor intensive. American Recycling proposed a compactor system with automated dumping for our scrap. They handled the design, installation and training necessary for a smooth transition. The compactor program frees up valuable floor space and eliminates the eyesore of waste paper staged for pickup.

Owner Ron Moore is great guy.
friendly, and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. All the staff I have met are well trained and knowledgeable.
If they can not recycle it they will help you find someone who can! It’s great having them close by in the area. You can take bulk cardboard and many things there to recycle instead of waiting for weekly trash service:)

Be warned, they do not honor their official posted hours of operation. They will close whenever they want to with no warning. I took a good part of my day to load my truck with cardboard to be denied entrance at 3:48pm when they show closing at 4:00pm. One of the workers was closing the gate as I pulled in and refused to let me unload even after I told him there was plenty of time.
