Enjoy a trail ride on one of our friendly ranch horses over beautiful hills and along the picturesque Pine river. Chism Trail Ranch also provides private or group lessons by appointment. Our knowledgeable staff can offer you a personalized lesson for your riding goals and skill level. We take any level of rider 6 years and older.

No more pulling on the horse's mouth and yanking them here and there. We teach you the proper seat and leg cues, which helps you stay in the saddle and have more control. You will feel more comfortable and so will your horse. The more you know, the safer and more comfortable you are. Team sorting is a fun sport where a team of two riders on horseback bring numbered cattle across into a second pen for time.
Services
The Chism Family, Jeff, Sheryl, Sabrina, Cassandra, and Kasey (left to right) established the Chism Trail Ranch in 2006 to share with others what they know to be true: hard work strengthens individuals physically, emotionally, and socially. The newest additions to the family include Josh Wehling and Katie Kimble Chism.
Chism Trail Ranch also provides private or group lessons by appointment. Our knowledgeable staff can offer you a personalized lesson for your riding goals and skill level. We take any level of rider 6 years and older. Our instructors have years of experience with horses in natural horsemanship as well as top levels of barrel racing, team roping, breakaway roping, team sorting cattle, working cow horse, reining, goat tying and showmanship.
With the construction for new additions to the facility, we will not have cattle events during winter/ spring 2020. Look for future dates when construction is complete! We offer practice sleds to help the rider and horse get in tune and in the proper position to make that perfect shot. We also use live calves.
Enjoy a trail ride on one of our friendly ranch horses over beautiful hills and along the picturesque riverside. Your trail ride will begin with a short lesson on how to feel comfortable on your horse with balance in the saddle, and to safely control and communicate with your horse, which allows you to enjoy your trail ride with more knowledge and comfort.

Am from out of town, and make it a point to come riding here at least once a year. Awesome guides, very knowledgeable and teach you a lot. No place I'd rather go with my daughter!!

It had been a long time since I had ridden a horse. The friendly staff started us off with a quick lesson to help us get comfortable and then took us on a nice trail ride through the woods
