This review is way overdue, but it needs to be reported and shared with everybody.
My experience at Claiborne & Hughes Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center was nothing but terrible. I will be attaching a letter sent to this place on November 25, 2020 that explains the reason of my displeasure and disgust.
In short:
• Medication was not ordered (they knew I was going to be admitted here 2 days in advance)
• Staff did not know what to do when asked what needed to be done in order for me to get my medication
• My medication was ordered that same night around 10pm instead of 2 days

I enjoy seeing pts at Claiborne Hughes. I always feel PT is cared for.,and staff always alerts Avalon of any needs or concerns. I am proud that we are allowed to visit with patients at this facility.

This place has a horrible history of being understaffed, incompetent, and filthy. Social worker won’t schedule even basic dental, vision, or hearing appointments. Many haven’t had these basic medical treatments in years.

I am so grateful for the amazing staff at Claiborne and Hughes! The nursing staff is so caring and dedicated to making sure my father is incredibly well cared for and, the administrative staff has been so kind and helpful in answering all of my many questions. They have made a difficult situation so much easier!

The staff is rude! Very rude! The nurses are very hard to deal with and the administration does not care. The building is old, but that is not the problem it is what goes on inside that is the issue. DO NOT send a loved one here...DO NOT. They don't care if there is a problem, they won't help you and the people that should care, that should be in the building, they are all MIA all the time! Seek alternate placement!

My father was very ill and needed inpatient care. He passed away recently but I would like to thank the staff at Claiborne and Hughes for the wonderful job they did while my father was alive. The nursing staff took such good care of him and genuinely cared about him. After his passing the sympathy & condolences from the administrator, nurses, & social worker will stay in my heart forever. If you have a loved one that needs nursing care or even rehab I would definitely recommend sending them here.

I was there as a patient for rehab after surgery & I was very impressed by the care I received. The therapy department was absolutely wonderful & I was able to be discharged sooner than they thought! The administrator Frances was so sweet , she made it a point to check on my care as well as the other residents. Her and the rest of the staff made you feel like part of a family which is so nice especially when you are away from home. If I ever need in patient rehab services again in the future I would absolutely go back to Claiborne and Hughes.

To begin with, Brianna Marlett's review hit the nail on the head... well done, Brianna! One of our family members is in this facility, and we're not pleased with the lack of overall diligence of the staff. We will give them a few more weeks to get their act together and if there's no improvement, we're her pulling out and transferring her to another facility. They must have a high staff turnover, because they've had a "now hiring" sign out by the gate for the last few weeks.
Well, it's been several weeks since we posted our first review. Things have not gotten any better... quite the opposite

This place is not a good place to work. I would not take my love one there. The facility is dirty. Floors are nasty. Smell is awful. Bathrooms are filthy. 2nd floor is out dated. Beds do not work, Often broke. Air conditioning is often not working in the summer. Elevator is a trip hazard, often broke or malfunctioning. VERY, VERY-High turn over rate with staff. Night shift is loud, rude, and unprofessional. They have roaches, ants and spiders creeping and crawling around. Upper management often off, at lunch, or MIA. Other workers come in late and leave early. They can not keep good staff. The
