Baja Beach was founded by Dave Lengel in 1994. Dave started the business under the name 5th Street Beach Inc. and opened his first salon with only 4 tanning units on the 5th Street Highway in Plaza 222. Dave opened a second location on Penn Avenue in Sinking Spring in 1996 and changed the name to Baja Beach Tanning Club.
At Baja Beach, we are confident you will get the absolute best tan every time. Our lamps or changed 50% sooner than the manufacturer suggests so you will always tan with fresh lamps! Our trained staff cleans the tanning beds because you are not visiting Baja to clean. We want you to relax and enjoy your session.
The skin needs a few tanning sessions to allow the skin to oxidize its melanin, darken and produce a tan. This process cannot be rushed. Your tan will begin to deepen within 3-5 sessions, depending upon the amount of melanin within your skin. Consider adding a custom airbrush to your UV sessions to achieve a darker appearance more quickly.
If you need instant color or want a deeper darker glow fast, a spray tan at Baja Beach will give you the personalized results you are looking for! Leave the booth with instant cosmetic color while an extended spray tan develops in 4 to 8 hours. Violet undertones to combat any orange and give you a glow like you just got back from the islands.
A. Our Mystic Solution requires a minimum of 8 hours to fully develop. We recommend waiting the full 12 hours before showering, sweating, washing hands, etc. Your Baja Beach Certified Technician will always tell you exactly when to shower to achieve the results you are looking for. A. You'll see your color last approximately 4-7 days on average, as long as you're taking care of your skin.

The beds are nice and the staff are friendly. I only wanted to join for 2 months and when I went to cancel I was told I could upgrade for the remaining month. Now I find out I'm stuck in for an extra 2 months. Not sure why I wasn't informed of this before upgrading my membership, but now I get to pay for 2 extra months I'll hardly use. Annoyed

I called up the Baja Beach 🌊 in Wyomissing, Pa. I Spoke with Taylor about my gift 🎁 certificate & asked a few more questions. Upon my visit, Taylor also took me at the register & promoted excellent customer service skills. The other employees were also a pleasure to speak to. I highly recommend this Tanning 👙 Salon to everyone & anyone in the Berks County Area or On an Out Of Town visit!

I wish you could post a review with 0 stars! We purchased two tanning sessions for $45 prior to my step-daughter's prom. A "new" client special. When she went for the second session the day before prom, they charged her $33 more, took her cash and didn't want to provide her with a receipt. We had to go the store to help her resolve the issue. There was no one available in the store who could help. The manager, who was only able to be reached by phone, claimed to be one of the owners, was less than helpful. They say the new girl who handled our purchase made a mistake. Their receipts aren't itemized
