Arc Stud Welding is generally used to weld large diameter fasteners to rougher and thicker base metals. Arc studs may be almost any shape and there are literally hundreds; however, they must have one end of the fastener designed for arc welding.
The chart below indicates the weld studs commonly supplied in metric sizes. The technical details for the stud type or styles throughout this literature apply to metric studs. Should additional specifications be required, please indicate this in the Request for Quote. Some types or styles of weld studs are used in the imperial size when requested in a metric size because the difference is not meaningful to the application ie.
