Services
EPS is the industry leader in disposing retired and failed electrical equipment while also removing the future liabilities associated with these items. Our custom-built furnace system has the largest incineration capacity in the nation for processing transformers, circuit breakers, switches, bushings, voltage regulators, reclosers and gas pipe.
EPS purifies and recycles oil through our industry-leading PCBXSM process, both at our facilities and on location at customer sites. With over 100 million gallons of reclaimed, dechlorinated oil already processed using PCBX, it has proven to be the most effective and most preferred method for PCB destruction in mineral oil.
EPS is among a select few companies approved by the EPA as both PCB Disposal Facilities and PCB Storage Facilities. Our disposal experts developed an industry-leading, two-stage disposal and recycling process of PCB transformers and equipment. The first stage is a rinse process, and the second stage is incineration through the EPS furnace.
Each year, EPS chemically treats and refines millions of gallons of transformer oil at our main facility and at other satellite facilities in the United States using our proprietary PCBXSM system.
This highly-specialized and closely monitored refining process has purified over 100 million gallons since its inception and meets all EPA specifications and guidelines for re-refined transformer oil - removing harmful contaminants such as water, gases and acids. After the oil has completed the purification process and attained our high-quality standards, we sell it to customers throughout North America.

EPS' Transformer Buyback Program (TBP) offers qualified utility and industrial customers significant payment to remove and recycle retired substation transformers. While eliminating your environmental and safety headaches, we increase your bottom line by harvesting the metals and dielectric fluids to unlocking their value for you.
