Lloyd Bridges Traveland
My father, Lloyd Bridges, was a Dodge dealer in the 1950s. He got involved in RVs early when he sold the first Dodge chassis to Ray Frank, inventor of the motorhome! Because he believed that Michiganders deserved more outdoor recreation, he went on to found Lloyd Bridges Traveland in 1966. At that time we sold Holiday Rambler travel trailers and Mackinaw slide-in truck campers.

I remember my father telling me in '66 that you could purchase a new 3/4-ton Dodge truck with a 10' Mackinaw truck camper hooked up and ready to go for $4,900. A lot has changed since then, and a lot hasn't changed one bit. Today, after over 55 years of helping thousands of RV dreams come true, we represent the top RV manufacturers, with over 30 brand names, on 20 acres at two locations in Chelsea, MI.
Services
Our father Lloyd Bridges was a large Dodge car and truck dealer in the early 1960's, located in Walled Lake Michigan. Lloyd Bridges Traveland was founded in May of 1966 also at the same location. At that time we sold Holiday Rambler Travel Trailers and Mackinaw slide in truck campers. We remember our father telling us in '66 you could purchase a new 3/4 ton Dodge truck with a 10' Mackinaw truck camper hooked up and ready to go for $4,900.
Our service department is here to make sure your camper is road-ready! Overseen by one of the owners (Charlie), we have several qualified and experienced technicians ready to service your vehicle. Lloyd Bridges Traveland strives to ensure all pricing, images and information contained in this website is accurate.
Disclaimer: This Tow Guide tool displays maximum towing capacity based on the vehicle information you provide. You must also consider optional added equipment, passengers, and cargo to determine the maximum weight your vehicle can safely tow. Do not exceed your vehicle's towing capacity, as doing so affect your vehicle's stopping ability and handling, as well as damaging your vehicle's drivetrain.
Lloyd Bridges Traveland works with a wide variety of lenders and institutions to help you find the right finance arrangements for your new RV. Of course, all agreements are based on qualified credit, but in most cases, we can help you arrange financing for very reasonable monthly payments so that you and your family can enjoy camping without breaking the budget.
We love our "new" used Rockwood Roo, and think we got a pretty good deal. Tim Bridges was our salesperson- honest and efficient and the whole team made our purchase seamless. We took our time looking through campers to find the one we wanted and our sales person (candy) stayed late to wait for us to look around after work.

I purchased a brand new camper from Lloyd Bridges in 2019. I'm going to get rid of it to buy a bigger one. I filled out the online trade in form from their website, never heard anything back from them. Also need to purchase a small part, so I called the parts department and got the voicemail. Left a message to call me back, never heard anything back from them. Called the following week, got the voicemail again. Hung up, called back and spoke with service instead and asked if they could help me find the part I needed. They told me they'd transfer me to parts and before I could tell

We had a 9:00 appointment. They took us right away and fixed the problem. This is our third 5th wheel we have purchased from Lloyd Bridges Traveland and are very satisfied with everything.

My husband and I needed our tires changed and hitch leveled out. I called Lloyd Bridges and originally spoke with Scott who was very helpful and sent me a few quotes. While our RV was there we worked with Greg who was very knowledgeable and helpful. We are new to the RV world and he was very helpful and informative. Prices seem to be reasonable as well.

We bought a new Toy Hauler, even though we heard bad things about this company, so dumb me. They assured us that their service department had a complete overhaul and things were different. THEY ARE NOT! We waited just over 3 weeks for an appointment and then were told our RV had to stay there another 16 days before they could even look at it. It was warranty work and after all that time nothing was done. They claimed they couldn't find any issues. I wouldn't buy there ever again.

This place wouldn't return a call to help my 94 year old father with a simple question. Terrible customer service. Once they get your money they are done with you.

Where do I even begin.
Bought a brand new camper, had many leaks, which then brought damage. Was told it would be simpler to bring it back through them as warranty would be approved faster. Seriously? Drove 3 hours to drop it off and never heard a word. 2 weeks later i decided to call to see of my camper was still there, oh, we are dealing with warranty. Back and forth for another week - i called warranty myself and was told it was this place not returning phone calls. I now believe that if you have time to read the rest of this review.
They had my new camper for a month and finally warranty

If I could give zero stars I would! I have purchased RV's since I was in my 20's from various dealers and have never had the issues I have had with Lloyd Bridges. We purchased our class C from them in 2017, my first red flag SHOULD HAVE BEEN when the nephew of the owner asked the owner of Lloyd Bridges if we could test drive it, you could hear the guy yelling, and I mean yelling how I was to only take it a few miles down the road and back period, not all over the state of Michigan. Rude is an understatement. After I purchased it I had to take it in for service, several times. They

This place has got to have the worst customer service I could possibly imagine and I have a very good imagination. They treat you like you are golden when you're buying a camper from them once the sale is final they forget who you are. They have no desire to put the customer first it is only about what is best for them. We bought a brand new 2018 camper from them it had more water leaks then you could possibly imagine, water lines not put on tight just poor quality all around which should've been caught by their staff before delivering the camper to us. I will never recommend this place

Purchased a new 2018 Heartland Travel Trailer and had an amazing Salesperson named Brent (he has since quit most likely due to the ridiculously unprofessional environment of this Dealer) and received our Camper with bowed walls, a broken toilet seat and an improperly closing inner and outer door. Oh not to mention the missing backsplash in the kitchen. Once I called the Service Dept I was told by the Sales Manager these things should have been noticed on our walkthrough. I was patronized and antagonized by the Mgr and was told "I will do it this time to fit you in" to make an appt. After

Took my motor home for refrigerator service due to erratic cooling. The mechanic turned in on one day and turned it off the next day and looked no further. For this they charged me $42 and lost an inline fuse I had given them. To be fair the lady at the service counter was nice and tried to find the part. But the mechanic was totally disinterested and I think incompetent. Even though I live right here in Chelsea I will not take my motor home there for service.

This is the second time we have had to bring a new rv in for repairs. The first time the tank had a bent hose. To fix this they cut the under belly. They did not repair or close where they had cut. When we called regarding this, we were told to tape it together. Waiting now to see if they will fix it . The one slide the motor burned up. So had to hand crank it closed.
Edit: will not be using this business again and will warn others.

Very unhappy with their service department. The Service Manager is apparently too busy to call my husband about where they are with our camper repair. We had to cancel our vacation plans because we can't get a straight answer as to when our camper will be repaired. As a Manager if I told my staff that I was too busy to talk to my customers, I would be fired. Maybe Jerry Bridges should take a look at his Manager. How about some accountability to the customer. Last time we will ever come to this RV dealer.

Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere for your first or next RV.
As many reviews will Echo mine, we also had a great sales experience here, BUT once the sale was over and the money paid, it all changed for the worse. Our new camper was poorly prepared and did not work well for our first outing. We had furnace issues and a leak in the canvas of the bed area, also some missing parts and a torn mattress. Now, trim pieces and wires are coming off on the inside. Let me remind you it has been three weeks of ownership. We purchased a Rockwood Roo. Upon calling the dealership back they said that it&apos

We just finished up purchasing a travel trailer from Nate. Walked in on a Sunday during their special hours, and he was SO helpful. Took us on a tour of a lot of trailers, knowing that we were on the fence about it and just looking. This didn't deter him from treating us like valued customers. He also got us financed and had us picking up two weeks later. Super helpful, eager to answer questions, and most of all responds in less than a minute! Thanks so much Nate.

We called Lloyd bridges at the end of March to ask about appointments for service and were told we didn't need an appointment, but to call back a day before. Fast forward to today, May first, 2017. We called and said we were bringing our camper in and the lady, in a rather patronizing voice said, "hah, I'm not making appointments for well into July" Well, that would have been nice to know 6 weeks ago when we attempted to make some kind of arrangements. So lloyd bridges, you have messed up our vacation plans due to the ineptness of your service department clerk who answers

Went here after deciding we had outgrown our current camper which we had purchased 2 years ago brand new from this dealer. Service was good until time to work the numbers. Salesman came back with a ridiculous trade in offer on a nearly mint condition travel trailer. Went to a second dealer the next day and received nearly $4000 more for the trade in. In turn my wife and i ended up financing nearly 12k additional than we had first planned on spending. Sometime it just doesn't pay to lowball a returning customer.

So long as you're a potential customer, they wine and dine you. As SOON as you do buy something from them, they disappear faster than you can count to 3. My family bought a new Sunseeker 2015 from them last year, it has come with NO Users guide, only an installment guide. My mother has called them SEVERAL times in search of this document, or some assistance! They have continued to blow her off!! They have asked her who her salesmen was (Todd, although why does that matter when trying to locate a guide for how to use this enormous vehicle?!) He then also blows her off.
In an economy where these

I can't say enough great things about my experiance with Lloyd Bridges RV. This was my 1st RV purchuse from a dealer and I will for sure go back. I wasn't tackled by sale reps and was allowed to look at my lesure and was respected my space. Christian, introduced himself early and assured me that if I had any questions, he was there if needed. And he was!!! I couldn't have asked for a better transaction this summer. Now, as we are into winter, I even got to experiance the warranty work through their service department. Wow, was I impressed. Bud took very good care of me and my RV

Just wanted to let you know how awful our stop at this showroom was. Thursday, July 30 about 2:30 pm a friend and I stopped and walked around their lot. Not one person greeted us. 30 minutes go by. We come into the show room. 3 salesmen were talking about Verlander and the Tigers. Not one of them greeted us. Mind you my friend has $40,000 to spend on her next travel trailer. Cash. And yet not one person of their staff could be bothered to say hello, how may we assist you today. And you had a model she liked. Horrible experience. I will never be back!

The extreme wind blew my awning off on my way home from Lloyd Bridges after having a couple of warranty issues resolved. I was 2 miles from them and when I called for advice, they sent someone out to the side of the road to help me get the broken awning off my TT. They did not charge me anything for this. They have exceptional customer service.
