I started my company when I was 18 with a love for woodwork. My Design and Build woodwork shop is in Maryland, NY between Oneonta and Cooperstown.
The craftsmen who work with me have the knowledge, skills and attention to detail required for building the best, most durable furniture. We build with solid wood and traditional joinery, but we also use veneered plywood panels for certain cabinets because we know when that's better than solid wood.

Adam did custom, built in closets for 2 rooms in my home. They turned out even more perfect than I could have imagined. They did exactly what I was looking for and did it in the best quality, timely manner and(to my surprise) under their estimate. If you are looking for perfection, Adam is the guy! Plus Adam and his partner were nice and friendly and respectful to our home. Highly recommend and look forward to giving him my business in the future.

Adam and his team are great. My wife and worked with Adam to install our new wood flooring, cabinetry, and millwork. Adam was very attentive to our finish specifications and the details with installing the floor in the best conditions. We designed the cabinets ourselves, and Adam was helpful in providing shop drawings for our approval and help us get the right finish that we wanted. His attention to detail, timeliness, and professionalism was greatly appreciated. Hope we can work with him again soon!

Adam Scudder and his employees refinished my living room oak floors. They were extremely professional and promptly completed the job. He was flexible and understanding as I added another room to the job and various other add-ons.
Adam built a custom oak threshold to accommodate a large gap between the wood flooring and tile flooring in the kitchen. He was easy to get ahold of and returned calls or texts promptly.
I would highly recommend Adam and his employees to complete any of your woodworking needs.

Highly recommend!!! I needed help installing two doors in my duplex, and fixing two other doors that were not closing properly, and was having a difficult time finding anyone to do the job. Adam called back right away, worked very diligently, charged fair prices, and is an excellent craftsman. I would happily hire him again, and am very thankful for his help.

I met Adam about 6 years ago. We hired him to refinish our 100 year old farmhouse dining room floor. It turned out exceptionally well.
So I just hired him to make a custom item for me. I was looking for a shavehorse. I showed him a few pictures of some different types of benches. He designed one for me. Finished it in a few days. I can't wait to start making canes and walking staffs. Adam's work is outstanding.

Adam did a floor inlay, to repair where a wall was removed, and refinish. His workmanship is excellent. Plus his professionalism, communication and follow through were above reproach. He was very accommodating with scheduling with our fluid - somewhat unpredictable project. Very pleased with his attention to detail. He also was conscientious about clean up and minimizing dust in areas outside the work area. I would highly recommend Adam to anyone. Well worth the cost of the job.

Adam's helped us with a couple of floors. He refinished an old pine subfloor and he installed a new hickory floor in our kitchen. Both jobs came out beautifully and were completed promptly.
We're excited to be working with him on the design and build some of some Kitchen cabinets. Based on his plans, Adam's a keen visual thinker- we've been grateful to bounce ideas off of someone so knowledgable and passionate.
Adam's a hard worker, full of clever ideas, and very easy to communicate with. Real nice guy too.

Reliable and expert woodwork! Adam did a kitchen for a client of mine based on photos, his end result was better than we could have imagined.
