Sister Sage Herbs
Sister Sage Herbs was born of Jayne Simmons' awe and love for nature's medicine. It started with a dream: to create a local medicine scene in Seattle by growing plants that are often used in western natural medicine. In 2001, while serving on the board of directors for a non-profit that encourages gardeners to grow their backyard gardens organically, Jayne came across a life-changing opportunity.

Vashon HouseHold, a community land trust, was accepting proposals for use and lease of a half-acre farm plot on a newly-acquired property on Vashon Island. Despite a career firmly planted in the corporate world, Jayne was called back to her roots of working with her hands and with herbs when her proposal was accepted.
Services
Balms are a topical blend of herb infused oils, bees wax (from our local beekeeper) and organic, fair trade, raw shea butter. The result is a portable, convenient way to access herbs on the go. Weekend Warrior is made with fresh arnica from our farm to help you move through the pain and help reduce recovery time for bruising and temporary soreness.
Go the bleep to sleep! This gentle-acting tincture is made for those who experience mild troubles falling asleep, including infants and elders. Concentrated German Chamomile promotes deep relaxation and helps make it easier for you to drift off. It can also help calm tension in the belly that keeps little ones awake.

Love the crew at Sister Sage Herbs! The way they grow and process their own herbs is amazing and their products are effective! I have battled insomnia since my mid-20's and their Holy Mama / Dream On duo is a game changer for me! These two have made their way into my holy nighttime routine, wouldn't travel without them. Not gonna lie, I have been wronged by tinctures in the past that burned my mouth, and was skeptical. These products are strong but delicious without being falsely or overly sweetened. I don't need to dilute them. Also love their Wise Crack balm, totally saves my delicate computer

I would give them 6 stars if possible. We met these wonderful folks at Pike Place Market. The marketing pitch blew me away. They applied a salve to my wife’s arm (tennis elbow) and said “I’ll see you you back in 20 minutes”. She felt better than she had in months! I have tried 4 of their products. They do not disappoint! I have since ordered several products from their website & plan to be a customer for life. Keep up the great work guys!!

Lovely family owned business with natural methods of preparing their products. My son loved the bath bombs especially the sage one as it had real sage in it. I used the smudge spray to cleanse my living and work space which calmed and refreshed me.
Please do some sage sticks..
Thank you

Got my refill order of some of Sister Sage's trifecta immunity pack last week. The weekend warrior balm has been keeping my heel pain in check. And I love the personal touch with the handwritten note in the box.

Great products made by people who care. I've been using their tinctures and balms for the past 6 yrs and have never been unsatisfied. Especially with their customer service. I called to find out if there was a store I could purchase them at and Marc took the time, which is rare, to just talk and get to know who I was and how they could help. Was happy to learn their products are now carried in PCC markets, Amazon, Pike place Market, and sistersageherbs.com. I still just call to order and enjoy the personal touch they have always given me.

The owner is so genuine and kind. Without asking, she gave me some really great advice on where to sell my foraged plants to.

Jayne (owner) is a great person. She's kind and genuine, and really knows what she's doing with her products. There are a lot of things about this place that I respect, that are worth knowing if you're into herbal remedies and considering buying their products.
The production warehouse is surgically clean and nice looking, and it's well-fitted for liquid production so there are no "extra" ingredients slipping into any products. The farm is healthy- the herbs that go to that warehouse to begin with are simply picturesque. The employees are treated respectfully, and return a good work ethic and

I saw recently that an employee responded to a review using their full name. I'm pretty sure that's slander and NOT cool. Don't think I'll ever be coming to this shop again. Bad business.

A community-supported-agriculture (CSA) farm that focuses on organic, high quality herbs is a wonderful jewel to find for herbalists who want to make their own tinctures, salves and capsules from whole herbs rather than rely on whatever mixture of questionable plants the mega-supplement companies sell to the public. This little farm has plenty of room to grow (pun intended) and I hope to order more medicinal plants from Sister Sage in the future.
