Our specialty is turning bar stock ranges from 1/64" to 2" in diameter to meet our customers blueprints. Services
Our business was established and built around the Model "B" Davenport multiple spindle lathe. The Davenport machine was an industry leader in high volume production. It is an older technology, all cam controlled, that requires a stronger mechanical aptitude than the newer CNC machines. These machines have 5 spindles, which denote the number of work spindles and the number of stationary spindles.
Gent Machine now has 9 Marubeni Citizen Cincom Swiss CNC machines. We have both A and L series models of 20mm and 32mm diameter machines. Our Swiss CNC Machines are equipped with LNS automatic bar loaders to ensure they run the most efficient way possible. Swiss CNC machines are known throughout the industry, when compared to conventional CNC machines, as having a guide bushing support system for the bar stock.
Gent Machine has 2 Hydromat 16 station machines. One of them is a full CNC controlled EPIC 45/16 which means it has a capacity of 45mm in diameter and 16 stations. Our other Hydromat is a fully rebuilt 32/4-16 Legacy machine. This has a CNC screen but is a hydraulic machine with 16 stations. Both are bar fed but we are looking to convert the Legacy into a chucking machine to load in blanks in order to machine.
Our Acme screw machine department is now home to nine 6-spindle Acme machines. The 6-spindle Acme is a nice compliment to the smaller 5-spindle Davenport. The Acme can handle larger diameter parts up to 2. This increased our capacity from 7/8 and allowed us to better serve our customers. We purchased three different size RA-6s.
In 2020, to help with the production of a ventilator part, we purchased a Hwacheon Vesta 660 milling machine. This milling machine has a 20 station tool changer which it can change lighting quick. It features a table that can handle a part that is 24" by 18" and 16" tall. The controller is a Fanuc 32i which has a hardwired hand wheel that you can detach and use to easily set tools.
