In 1986, a group of local pharmacists opened Sickroom Supplies in downtown Ebensburg, PA to address a need in the community for an easy, accessible source for medical equipment. As the company grew and the need for a bigger space intensified, Sickroom Supplies moved to a different part of town and was renamed Laurel Medical Supplies.
We offer the most advanced mobility and seating solutions available. With our Assistive Technology Professionals (ATPs) on staff, we continually provide the most up to date training on devices and their software so you can be assured we have detailed knowledge of the solutions that are specific to you.
Having the proper seating and positioning products on your mobility device is critical to a comfortable and active lifestyle. Our team of Assistive Technology Professionals (ATPs) have decades of experience in the seating and positioning discipline and are up-to-date with all of the latest technology and practices.
We offer a wide variety of wheelchairs from a basic transport chair to a complex power wheelchair. Many of our wheelchairs are available for rent or purchase. I had searched all over southwestern Pennsylvania for a medical supply company that understood the authorization process for the waiver program so that I could get my 94 year old mother a lift chair. Everyone had told me that insurance would not pay for the chair in spite of the insurance company saying they would. Then I met the team at Laurel Medical Solutions. I first worked with Katie, Karen and Lucas to find a chair that was suitable--they were all so positive, supportive and professional--and they gave me hope!! Then I met Jessica who was wonderful!!! Laura Medical has served my late husband and myself through many rough times. They have always been reliable and professional wheather setting up equipment or repairing and replacing parts. Today I bought a scooter and Jessica McMullen showed me how to take it apart for traveling and easy lifting. She also helped with loading it in my car. She was extremely pleasant and polite.

Well hopefully I'm doing this right. I'm was very glad to meet one of the nicest gentleman I've ever met. A Mr John Letiizia thing about him he gets to know you before even talking about the chair or anything equipment which is the best part of the business i thick. He kind funny, which I'm a funny person at all times I never let my illness slow my down. I was in need of a new lift chair, and I am so happy that I chose Laurel Medical Solutions. Jessica took her time and helped my find all the options I was looking for in a chair. She was so understanding and helpful. Dave and Kasey delivered my chair this morning, and they get an A+ from me. They were efficient without being rushed. I've been waiting for quite some time for my lift chair before I found Laurel medical solutions They really were a solution for me Jessica was awesome she had my chair ordered right away and when I got it I was so pleased if I would have known she would make it so easy I would have went there first the guys that delivered my chair were great too although I don't remember their names great service wonderful chair I'm so happy thanks so much Laurel medical. PS just to let you know just talking to Laurel she was able to get my measurements down pat it's the first recliner that I've ever been able

Bill Miller was amazing! I love working with Laurel Medical! They are easy to get in touch with and have fast service. I had a wheelchair ramp installed within a day! We were in need of a wheelchair ramp, and after many phone calls we found Laurel Medical Solutions... They have made this process so easy.... the other places I have called either don't return calls or don't offer wheelchair ramps...but Bill Miller showed up and told me what was available. . We used his years of experience and let him do his thing... he changed our original idea and we are so glad we did. The ramp was installed and has made our life so much easier....

In 2009 I went through Laurel for my custom lightweight wheelchair, as my first lightweight manual wheelchair. The order was completely messed up, and I finally contacted the owner about the issues. He fixed the issues, and made it right.
Because I thought perhaps another medical supply company could be better, I went to another local provider for my next wheelchair. That experience was even worse, and the company made it hard to work with them. It was a miserable 5 years dealing with that company, and when I needed a repair, they would take FOREVER to fix it.
