If you are lucky enough to be in Middlebury and visit Sweet Cecily, then you are lucky indeed! Middlebury is a picturesque college town (beautiful Middlebury College) with a waterfall right on Main Street, and is a lovely town to spend some time in.

Sweet Cecily, which opened in 1987, is a curated collection of all things wonderful, surprising treasures to give as gifts or to own and a back porch where you can step back in time and watch the river go by.The store was an ice cream parlor - Calvi's - for decades, and many a young couple stole their first kiss on this porch!

What a cute gift shop. Local artists, crafty items, wonderful staff. Most things are VT themed. Spent a lot of time there and left with a smaller checking account!

This is a go-to shop while in Middlebury. The associates are very nice, the selection of goods quite varied and unique. I always find something I like when I visit Sweet Cecily's.

Wonderful personal support for a shopper a state away who couldn't get there. Chris took a photo to show me what I was asking about then, when I'd said "Yes, that's it!," she packaged it an sent it to me the following day. Now I have the perfect birthday present for my daughter, on time.

Fantastic little gem of a gift, home, collectibles and kids shop in Middlebury. Unique, quality selection and reasonably priced. Staff is friendly and helpful. Love the plates and wind chime I bought!!

This gift shop was just what we were looking for when we were in our way out of town. We needed some small local gifts to take back to CT as thank you's. I also managed to find some stuff for Christmas presents. My only wish is that it sold more of the hand crafted stuff from VT. Some of the cute dish towels I bought were made in CA.

Eeee awwwesome. one of those stores that's full of supercute gifts like "foot in the door" high-heeled shoe doorstops, adorable colorful toasters, dishtowels, candles, teapots, etc. plus, when they have a sale they mean business.
