As a youth I worked with my father building timber frame structures in southern California, from homes to commercial buildings. He is also a small/large scale wood worker and continues to be a mentor to my work. While attending UCSB I found a talent as an artist and began working in visual merchandising for a number of national retailers.

I was in a pinch and needed some custom made floating shelves ASAP for a home remodel that I’m doing. I needed custom length, color within budget and turned around in a few days. I felt like I was asking for a Xmas miracle.
Shaun Wallace and Gopherwood Build and Design is that miracle! I wouldn’t be surprised if Shaun is the guy paying off peoples layaway balances at Kmarts every year.
I reached out to Shaun even though he had 0 reviews on google and 1 review on Yelp. The reason I selected him is simply because he took the time to chat with me to discuss the project in great detail. Everyone
