It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen Universal Life Energy flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's life force energy is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress.

A reiki treatment takes places in a relaxing environment where you can allow yourself permission to relax. At the beginning of a session I will explain what Reiki is, clarify why you are looking for reiki and if you are suffering from any specific aliments. Then you get the opportunity to switch off from the real world for just over an hour and experience the benefits of Reiki for yourself.
Cathy offers her Reiki sessions at her home Reiki studio in Kamas, Utah. All sessions are 1 hour and 15 minutes. A session fee is $100. The same rates apply for follow-up telephone sessions. 5-Session and 10-Session packages are available at a discounted rate. If you purchase a package below, schedule the date of your 1st session below, and Cathy will coordinate with you to schedule the follow-up sessions.
I had a session, and let me tell you, I felt so good afterwards I have never slept so good that night. I had something not so good happen and I was upset, so I called up Cathy for a session and it just lifted the bad energy out of me.
