Rural Health Clinic
As the primary healthcare provider for 30,000 residents in a 5 county area, hospital leaders have accepted the challenge to provide a diverse range of high quality services. At Childress Regional Medical Center, past and current directors, physicians, administrators and the community have worked tirelessly to ensure quality care is available in Childress.
Services
More than fifty years ago Childress County commissioners convinced residents to create a hospital district, pass a bond election and build a new hospital. By 1970 the 75 bed Childress General Hospital had been completed and was sitting on a hill at the western edge of town. The building was modern and equipped with the latest technology to provide medical care for the community of 9,000 residents.

Labor and Delivery - we can connect directly to neonatologists at Childrens Health (Dallas) or Covenant (Lubbock) for babies that need it.
Meeting human need and taking great care of patients is what it's all about. It's also the way we justify our existence. And if that interests you, you can view a power point presentation we provided to our board in August of 2018 that conveyed information provided by a vendor called IVantage, they took publicly available data for every rural hospital in Texas and ranked them in what they call hospital strength index.
Childress Regional Medical Center relies on profits from operations and tax revenue to provide patients with the care they require. But we are often asked if there is a way that patients and/or families can do something extra as way to show gratitude. The following are suggested ways to support the mission of the hospital.
Everyone at CRMC loves babies! And it shows in the way we help welcome them into the world. The LDRP center at Childress Regional features family oriented care in a private, specially designed hospital unit. There's room for Mom, Dad, big brothers and sisters, close friends, and even grandparents to be part of the celebration.

In so much pain. Have flu b. They said they were going to give me painkillers and nausea meds. Neither one was effective. Tried to tell them that and was promptly ignored. Now I'm going home still with a fever still in horrendous pain and waisted my entire day. All for naught.
