Don's Awnings opened shop in Santa Barbara, California in 1980. We've called Roseville, CA home since 2001. Upon our relocation, we began concentrating our efforts in the Sun City Del Webb communities and have constructed many beautiful lattice, awnings, and drop shade designs throughout the community.

I needed to address the blazing sun heating up the Western exposure of my house by installing external vertical shades. These folks know exactly what is needed and how to do it. They are professional, friendly and efficient. Even when I had a problem after installation, they immediately came out and made the adjustment to my satisfaction.

We just had our second (additional) awning installed. The two gentlemen that installed the awning were very respectful to us. They certainly knew what they were doing. Our first awning was under the old management and this new awning was under the new owner. Could not tell any difference in service. The new awning came in early so that was very nice. I could not recommend Don's Awnings any more. They are want anyone would want in a contractor.

Prompt, courteous and professional staff worked on our project over parts of 3 days. They installed 3 drop-down shades and a sold patio cover with integrated sky light, after removing an open lattice patio cover and older drop-down shade. Also had to install new post to accommodate a larger cover than the old one to mate with another shade at a right angle. Quite sophisticated.
Great job by all. Can't wait to use the shades next spring/summer, but the patio cover will keep our picnic table dry now and allow light in the adjacent window all year long.

My retractable shades are worth every penny! Don took all of the guesswork out of ordering the right materials/colors. It's great when a professional narrows your options based on house color and sun exposure. His installation team was very professional, courteous and experienced. Don always gave me a time line to set my expectations in advance for both fabricating and installation. Will definitely be a repeat customer.

Don and his crew installed a beautiful lattice on my front patio today. They did and excellent job. I whole heartedly recommend them to anyone interested in quality work. We have used Don's Awnings in two of our homes now. In Sun City Lincoln Hills, he installed large electronic shades on our patio. We were there 12 years, and when we called because the shade was dragging a bit, Don showed up the next day fixed the problem and lubricated the mechanical parts for us. In our new home in Verdera, he installed a custom designed patio cover for an area that involved 2 different roof heights. Perfection, as usual! I accidentally threw away the control to our remote on our 15-year-old sun shades. The company that put them in was no longer in business so we called Don to see if he could help us program the new remote. He actually walked us through the process on the phone to save us the expense of having him come out. It's hard to find such an honest, helpful, friendly businessman and we can't thank him enough for his help. Will definitely go to him when we need new sun shades.

We had Don install an Eclipse drop shade on our western facing master suite. About a year later we ask him about replacing two patio awnings, and we discussed several manufacturers. Don recommended Eclipse again - even though it was considerly more expensive than others. During installation of our new awnings, it was noted that our drop shade had a problem. The technicians corrected the problem, however it was only a temporary fix. I called Don a few weeks later, and he personally came out to take a look. This is a belated review for Don's Awnings. Back in February we had him install a motorized drop shade on the south (hottest) end of our patio. With our current heatwave, it's sure paying off now. What a difference it makes! Don was great to work with, very professional and knowledgeable. And Sergey and his partner, who did the install, were skilled as well. No problems, smooth process from start to finish. Don even handled the HOA approval process. Very happy with the outcome. Highly recommended.

First off let me start by saying the workmen that came to my home to install the sun shades were very professional. They were on time, cleaned up after they finished and made sure I understood how to work my new sun shades. I also don't have any bad things to say about the sun shades they seem to be nice quality shades and do their job.
Here is my issue, I recommend this company to a friend of mine who saw the sun shades and wanted to get some of her own. Mr. Libolt went out to her house took measurements and quoted her a price, one that was very similar to mine yet she has twice the area

Our 35 year old huge gnarly serious shade dropping Mulberry had to be removed. It provided a ton of shade to our backyard and we knew we needed to go with an awning and some drop shades for the scorching sun/heat that is to come as well as addressing the the hot setting sun that always streamed through our sliding glass doors even with the tree. Don is a great guy, polite, professional and easy going. We met with Don at the beginning of our backyard project to get ideas for a free standing shade structure and the best location.
I showed him our pool plans and the concept we were going for. My wife said she didn't want the "carport" look. Don said that he can install stucco posts..awesome, its exactly what we were looking for. It looks amazing ( photos will be uploaded at a later date).
All inspections passed first time ( Lincoln City Inspectors

Originally we started using Don's Awnings several years ago for a gazebo in our front yard. Just recently we had Don come out and build a backyard shade structure next to our pool. As usual his crew did a excellent job. His crews are very talented, courteous and quick. Don's product looked so much better than the original that instead of adding on to our existing we just replaced the complete structure. I would throughly recommend Don's awnings as they were quick, very courteous, priced fairly and dependable.

I am delighted with our new awning that was installed last week. It's changed our patioI and made it so awesome. I love having the remote handy and the wind sensor has worked beautifully when the wind picks up as it often does here in the afternoon. I really feel that the shade it provides helps keep my house cool inside longer. Very nice looking, well installed, and easy to operate by pushing a button. I would definitely recommend. My wife and I interviewed several contractors (half of which we had talked to at various home shows), and the bids were all over the map, in addition, some of the companies really came across shady (permits optional?).
