Services
The infant program accepts children from 6 weeks old to 12 months old. We offer a caring, nurturing environment designed to meet the special needs of very young children and their families. Our goal is to create a partnership with parents that will ensure that each child receives the very best care while at the center.
Providing a safe, healthy environment with developmentally appropriate activities & supplies, . Supporting infants in their exploration and use of all their senses with music, movement and age-appropriate toys. The toddler curriculum builds upon the individual child's developmental skills. While quiet places, romping spaces, and laps to sit on are available at all times, there are plenty of toys to stimulate and quite music to sooth.
Two-year-old children are at the exciting stage of adjusting from being a toddler to going into the more mature environment of pre-school. This is also the time when children begin to learn about themselves and their role as a child. Many things are changing at once as they develop language skills, group learning skills, and are potty trained.
We designed a special program for children who are potty trained and at least thirty months old in September. These children are ready to start pre-school academics, but not ready to be with four-year olds. Building on concepts from the two-year old program, these children begin to master identifying letters and their sounds, learning number values, sorting and grouping objects.
Our Kids' Club is an engaging after-school program that builds on concepts taught at school. Trained staff assists children with homework and offer tutoring when needed. Group play and open play are included in the day. Arts and crafts projects are created on a regular basis. During the summer months these children have frequent field trips to the park, the library, the movies, and other fun events nearby the school.

Do not bring your kid here. The owner Janet is not considerate of her employees and does not follow ratio guidelines, she continuously has too many children with too few teachers. She refuses to listen to the concerns of her teachers and pays them minimum wage for the high stress environment that they are in. Even when teachers raise concerns about a child’s family life she brushes it off. She is working her employees to death and continues to keep adding more and more children even though she is understaffed and does not have enough teachers to take care of the children. All she cares about

My son started here when he was six months old. I loved that they had a video system where I could check in on his room. It helped ease my nerves as I was dropping off my first kid and going back to work. 6 months later I got a call that they were closing and was panicking about finding a new spot. Thankfully they were bought out by a Montessori school and were able to stay open. My son stayed there another year and had a great time. He would run right in and loved the teachers there. Even during COVID lockdown, I felt that they communicated the best they could. We are sad to be leaving but are

I highly recommend Intellichildren to anyone! When we first started our daughter at Intellichildren, it was owned and run by a woman named Carol for a few months, and then the new owner, Janet, a very successful business owner, not to mention an amazing teacher, took the reins! My daughter attended Intellichildren for approximately 8 months in 2019/2020 up until COVID-19 caused all schools to close and I was forced to stay home with them while working from home! My daughter was in the infant room at Intellichildren. I can't say enough wonderful things about Elena and Carina that work there

Update: I stopped by the school to get a copy of my son's medication records (since they failed to email them to me as promised when we left the school). When the director, Brandy, gave me the log, it was clearly doctored to show they had given all medication doses perfectly on time every single day, even though Brandy was very much aware that was not the case. She even had to take personal action to provide my son his medication on time for a few days because the teachers admitted they kept forgotten to give him doses or gave some over an hour late some days. When I confronted Brandy, she

What a sweet ride it has been! Both my children are now school-aged and we will be leaving this sweet place in a couple of weeks. My children will miss the teachers, friends, and home-cooked style food, but overall their Intellichildren family because that's how we feel there, like family. But we will be back for school vacations and holidays! The village at Intellichildren is also changing! Carol and Gerry, long-time owners have passed the torch and hopefully getting some rest and enjoying their well-earned retirement!
I am excited about the changes coming to the school with the new owners

My daughter is in the 4 year old preschool class with Evelyn but started at Intellichildren with Christine in the 3 year old class. I was nervous as she had never even had a non-family babysitter. She loved Christine's class and loves Evelyn's as well. These two teachers really care about their students and are constantly coming up with art projects and science experiments to enrich their students experience. Recently the school had a Thanksgiving breakfast with a whole spread. Evelyn's class sang a song and had different activities set up with coloring and hat making and a coloring

My daughter has attended Intellichildren since she was 2 years old, and she will be headed to Kindergarten this year. They offer reduced tuition if you qualify. I don't receive tuition assistance but it is still affordable, especially compared to the other preschools in the area. They have a camera system as well so you can watch your child from anywhere, and they provide breakfast, lunch and a snack! They have always been very kind to my daughter here. I would recommend this preschool/daycare.

My nephew started here when he was 4 months old , he had napping issues and the team was Persistent to find a routine that worked for him. We absolutely love the staff they greet us by name, they are very personable! We love the projects they create and the learning that goes on in the establishment. They even have technology to view your children while your at work that makes leaving your loved ones there a little less stressful at first! All around we recommend this place to our friends and family and appreciate what they do for my nephew!

My daughter has been going here for a little more then a year now and I am so happy with her care. The teachers and staff really care and love all the children under their watch. I never worry while I am at work if she is ok. My daughter was born 2 months early and you would never know she is a premie and I honestly believe the daycare helped with her growth and development to make sure she was always track. Thank you Carol and team, you all do an amazing job

What an amazing team! I am a first time mom and it was so difficult for me to leave my baby in daycare. I stopped by Intellichildren several times unannounced when I was hunting for the right facility. They were always welcoming and clean! They are affordable and very flexible with my crazy schedule. I love the caregivers and Carol, the owner, is awesome!!!!

We love Intellichildren preschool in San Marcos. When a home nanny became just too expensive for our little girl, we had to find a great day care school nearby that we were comfortable with.
Definitely the best in the area and the teachers at Intellichildren are excellent, always encouraging the kids and getting them involved with arts, crafts, music and dance.
They have the watch me grow web cameras so we can look in on our princess when we miss her as she plays and learns at preschool, a great and comforting feature.

My daughter is in the infant class, and I love that I can check in on her whenever I want via video! Every time I check in, she is being well-cared for. I've never felt that she was being neglected. They even moved her crib so I could see her better on camera. I feel so connected to her throughout the day. Her teachers are so sweet and always greet us with a smile when we come in.

I would keep looking! My daughter started as an infant there and I pulled her out of there about 5 mos. later. They made her go with the toddlers as soon as she turned 1 and was walking, but it was way too soon for her. They cut out 1 of her naps, took her bottle and her blanket (which she was extremely attached to) and cried EVERY DAY when I dropped her off and picked her up. I was watching her on the online camera and saw just her and an older little boy on the toddler side, and the only teacher in the room was on the infant side tending to a baby. I saw the little boy push my daughter over and

All three of our children have been at Intellichildren, and we can't speak high enough of this preschool and infant care center. Every classroom and teacher is caring, engaging, and really cares about the development, learning and well being of each child.
We also love the all-inclusive elements of the school including music and dance programs, as well as lunch and snacks. Other schools we considered charged extra for each of these.
