Services
For the majority of people, wisdom teeth begin developing sometime during the late teenage and early adolescent years. Often called third molars as they grow in at the back of the jaw, many people do not have the space in their jaw to support these extra teeth. This can cause complications like tooth crowding, impaction, and severe oral pain.
Contrary to popular belief, tooth extractions are more common than people think, with over 74 percent of adults having had at least one tooth extracted at some point in their lives. You may need to have a tooth extracted for a variety of reasons, but the ultimate goal is always to save your smile and overall oral health.
Patients who suffer from facial trauma have often experienced a severe accident that may have broken facial bones or caused lacerations in the face. When extensive damage has occurred to the face and head, oral surgeons are the experts at repairing the damage and rebuilding the face to a natural, functional and attractive state.
Having adequate bone volume within your jaw is important for many health and aesthetic reasons. When bone loss has occurred, your jaw will thin, causing a changing facial appearance, loose teeth, tooth loss, and even prevent dental implants from being placed. Jaw bone loss can occur for a variety of reasons, including missing teeth, facial trauma, or gum disease.

This is the third time I've come here to have teeth removed and I have never had any issue! Went in yesterday 12/22 to have my 6th impacted wisdom tooth removed and while there I decided to ask the dentist to see if I had a tongue tie I've always thought I had. He confirmed I did and I asked "can you fix it today?" When he said absolutely and explained the procedure I was very happy! It's been bothering me for years! Everyone from check in to leaving after my procedures were just so kind and patient! Definitely recommend!!

Dr. Wewel is absolutely amazing. He is very friendly and thorough. He explains things is a way that makes sense and eases your mind. He is also very easy to talk to and more than willing to answer any questions you may have. I look forward to continuing to work with Midwest OMS and would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

Went in for a consultation with Dr. Anderson about having my wisdom teeth removed and the whole experience was terrific. All of the staff were wonderfully kind, Dr. Anderson himself was incredibly personable and empathetic. He spent several minutes speaking to me and showing that he truly cares about his patients. I'm very excited for my operation there and look forward to my next appointment.

Very disappointed. Had a double extraction 3 years ago and had a great experience. This time, I waited an hour and a half to see the provider who was in my room less than 5 minutes and incurred $134 worth of charges that I could have been warned about prior to my appointment. I have fantastic insurance and yet found that my portion of the bill for ONE tooth extraction would be over $900 and it was a total waste of my time. I don't know anyone that can afford that after insurance pays. Outrageous prices and when I questioned why (because I have the same insurance as last visit) apparently inflation

I had my wisdom teeth removed recently and just wanted to say my experience was awesome!! Samantha was the nurse that took care of my both for my consultation and during surgery. She also remembered me from 7 years ago when I was there. She was an absolute doll and made sure I was comfortable and was very thorough and knowledgeable. Dr Wewel did a fantastic job with the surgery it was a quick and pretty pain less process. I knew that I was in good hands. As some one with a heart condition I was kind of nervous but he eased my nerves. Overall their team went above and beyond and would recommend

2nd edit: Tooth is out, good molar wasn't touched, sinuses are fine. Also now that the impacted tooth is out, my headaches went away and my neck no longer hurts. A good surgeon elsewhere did it, and it took him less than 20 minutes.
TL;DR; DON'T GO HERE they will think you're lying even with x-rays and other referrals.
1st Edit to add: Forgot to mention, the doctors here were also threatening that if they had to take out my impacted wisdom tooth, I'd have to lose a back molar.
Got a second opinion this morning (technically 4th or 5th opinion, and everyone else said surgery

My complaint with this practice is not with the procedure that was done but with the billing practices. My daughter had a consultation toward the end of last year to have some work done in conjunction with her orthodontist. At the time we were setting up for the actual procedure I explained to the insurance specialist that we were going to have new benefits in the new year including orthodontia, so I wanted to wait until after the first to schedule the appointment. I have two witnesses to this. The insurance specialist came back to me and said that the codes being used would apply to either my
