Martin L. Keyes was a proficient inventor in the late 1800s, who persevered through years of trial and error to develop the first paper plate molding machine. Fueled by a vision to reclaim waste wood chips and turn them into a useful product, he established Keyes Fibre in 1903. It has grown into one of the world's largest producers of molded fiber fruit and vegetable packaging.
Keyes utilizes an efficient, sustainable process to produce its molded fibre packaging. By using local material and energy, we are able to save literally tons of waste product and substantial amounts of energy and water (see our sustainability section for more details). Our process is an efficient and fluid workflow from start to finish.
Available in Standard and Euro footprints, our industry-leading SpringCushion molded fiber trays have proven their superior cushioning properties for decades. Produced from recycled materials such as newspaper and cardboard, and widely recyclable, Keyes trays are the no-compromise choice for strength and sustainability.
Keyes provides both standard and universal denesting equipment that dispenses standard and Euro 40 60 apple trays. The Clipper Denester is a patented design and proven Keyes workhorse, providing improved efficiency and labor savings to our customers' packing facilities. Our team of expert technicians currently services our fleet of over 500 denesting machines.
