At the Bowen Wellness Center, you will find experienced client-centered therapists who genuinely want to assist you on your journey. You will be seen and heard for who you are, not any challenges you may be facing. We believe that everyone is unique, deserves respect, and should be treated with compassion and kindness.
Our focus at the Bowen Wellness Center is to utilize an approach that assists our clients in getting themselves back on the path toward better health, and to support them in that journey. Our clinicians are experienced, respected in the community, and have historically delivered a high quality standard of care in each mental health setting in which they have been employed.

Services
Our Chief Executive Officer, Angie Bowen, is originally from Wisconsin and moved to Arkansas eight years ago. While originally trained as a guidance counselor, upon arriving and working here she felt compelled to enter the field of mental health counseling. She has been working in multiple capacities in mental health for over six years now.
Our experience has led us to this practice where we will provide the following clinical services: Individual therapy for children, adolescents and adults; LGBTQ counseling and outreach services; Relationship counseling for couples; and many other services upon request. All of these services are offered in a traditional in-office setting, and many are also offered in various technology assisted platforms (video, chat, email, telephone).
I will provide you with a safe comfortable space and work with you, as an advocate, as you work on becoming your best and authentic self. There is no judgment here. I believe everyone is doing the best they can with the tools they have-many of us are just in need of additional tools. I believe we are products of our families of origin and carry forward what we learned from them--functional and dysfunctional.
We've launched a Resource Page in an effort to provide one place our visitors can find helpful and relevant information fairly easily. We hope that you will find these resources helpful, as well. If there are other books, sites, and/or articles you've found especially helpful along your journey, please feel free to pass those along to us, and we'll be glad to post them here so that others can also benefit!
As you may have seen in the news earlier this week, the Boy Scouts of America will now welcome transgender boys into their troops. A policy that follows the Girl Scouts of America opening their doors to transgender girls. David Lippman from Today's THV (KTHV11) reached out to Angie for interview to talk about anticipated outcomes from this move toward inclusion.
