Services
Briscuso Dance Studio was founded in 1980 by Judy Briscuso and is one of the oldest studios in St. Louis. The studio started in her basement, creating a close-knit, family-oriented culture that continues to be the bedrock of the studio today. The studio moved into a commercial space in 1988, before settling in it's current location at Manchester and Baxter in the Lafayette Shopping Center in 2001.
Our preschool combo classes build strength and muscle awareness as the foundation of a future dance education in a fun and creative way. Students may practice faces in a mirror to understand expression and performance quality, act out stories to understand how movements can describe an action, and use age appropriate imagery to learn developmentally appropriate gross motor skills.
Most shoes can be purchased from the studio. We've carefully selected shoes that will look great on our dancers, are comfortable, and will not be a distraction. If you choose to purchase shoes elsewhere, please do not wear them until they have been checked by your teacher, so you may return them if they are not correct.
Our goal is to provide a top notch education to every student. We strive to give our students the skills to succeed in any path they choose to take. From our youngest students who learn to skip and take turns for the first time to our older students, who are learning about perseverance, teamwork, and commitment alongside every plie and battement, our education goes beyond just dance steps.
CLI Studios is a partnership with our studio and some of the best teachers in the country, giving our students and teachers access to a wide range of content. Our students have taken master classes with Kathryn McCormick, Teddy Forrance, Nick Lazzarini, Allison Holker, tWitch, Natalie Gilmore, and many more in everything from contemporary and jazz to hip hop and ballroom.

My daughter loves her teacher and the studio is clean, professional and very well organized. The studio and the instructors are wonderful with their communication to parents and students too! The costumes are adorable and reasonably priced! I highly recommend you sign up your child at Briscuso Dance Studio!

My daughter loves dance classes at Briscuso! Attending classes and trying out and making the competition team has really helped her break out of her shell and become so much more confident. She absolutely loves her teachers, and the new friends she has made. Can’t say enough good things about this studio!
