Universal Waste is a classification for hazardous waste materials. They are more common and pose a lower risk than other types of hazardous waste. The EPA requires environmentally sound collection and proper treatment or recycling of universal waste materials. All waste materials not specifically deemed hazardous under federal law are considered nonhazardous wastes.
The removal process of small chemical containers that are less than 5 gallons in size is commonly referred to as lab packaging. GemChem will identify, label and properly package lab chemical waste for proper disposal according to classification. We bring all necessary supplies and packaging to your business, school, or laboratory to handle, treat and package the waste.
Nearly everything we do leaves behind some kind of waste. Understanding how your waste is generated is an important factor in determining whether waste can be considered Non-Hazardous. GemChem has the experience and industry knowledge that can determine if your waste is Non-Hazardous and how it needs to be disposed of.
Our drivers are trained and licensed for handling hazardous waste. We utilize hazardous waste manifests to properly track the waste until it reaches its final destination. GemChem will the transport residual/non-hazardous, and universal waste to our facility where it is stored, processed and eventually shipped to its final destination.

My company needed a bit of house cleaning done and we hired GemChem for pickup. They got all their required info from us, sent a truck, picked it up and jetted. Easy. Rates aren't bad either
