Services
Dr. Matthew Dziarski, Dekalb Dentist, grew up in the greater Chicago area, and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The third-generation dentist in his family, Dr. Dziarski earned his dental degree at Southern Illinois University before moving to the Rockford area.
Dentistry is the treatment and prevention of disorders and diseases of patients teeth, gums, mouth, and jaw. Dentistry performed properly is necessary for complete oral health and it has a significant impact on the health of a patients entire body. A dentist is a specialist who has been trained to diagnose, treat, and prevent oral health conditions problems.
Here at DeKamore Dental we believe that everyone is entitled to a healthy and attractive smile regardless of their financial position. In order to help accomplish this, we offer a wide range of financing options that will meet nearly any budget. We accept all PPO plans as well as Medicaid (Medical Card) and Illinois public aid.
Your first visit here at DeKamore Dental will typically consist of a cleaning, an examination, and a review of your treatment options. If you accept treatment, we can begin with that treatment immediately. But, a complex medical history or treatment plan may require further evaluation and a second appointment.
We enjoy serving the communities of DeKalb, Illinois, as well as the surrounding areas. Our mission is to exceed the expectations of every patient. I’m in love with my new smile! I’ve never wanted to smile with my teeth before. After a lot of years with braces my Ortho gave me a referral for bonding of my front four teeth. Dr Modi and Bri did a fabulous job of making sure I was comfortable and achieved the smile I wanted! I highly suggest going to see them if you need work done. Below is my before and after pick.

Came in for a routine wisdom tooth extraction. Sydney at the front desk made me feel at home. Than Brianna took a quick x ray, sat me down, and the head dentist went to work. It was PAINLESS. Having a tooth removed is never fun but they made the experience calm and quick. Will be coming back for all my future needs. This place rocks!

I haven’t been to the dentist in an embarrassingly long time. I’ve dreaded today like no other. Upon walking in I was greeted warmly. The dental assistant I had was amazing she made me feel so at ease. Then the doctor came in we discussed further appointments and I couldn’t be more happier. Everyone was wonderful I felt so comfortable. I will not be leaving. Thank you again for being so wonderful ❤️

Dr. Moran is rude, disrespectful, and has a horrible bedside manner. I will not be back to see him.
The previous dentist I was seeing no longer works at this location so they made me an appointment with the first available dentist. Now I see why he was available.
I came in to get some teeth extracted as part of the treatment plan we had already established. Dr. Moran refused to extract any teeth because as he put it he "only does simple extractions". Then why am I even here. Nobody else was available that could help me so I have an appointment with another dentist in a couple weeks

Came in for my normal checkup, the dentist said I had a small cavity and I had the filling done the same day. Decided to go without the anesthetic because it was a small filling but it did hurt a little and usually only ever feel "cold" on the tooth while getting a filling. Next few days my tooth started to have extreme sensitivity to anything I drank. I came back in a week after but not much was done. Decided to go to another dentist and she re-did my filling. Unfortunately the damage is already done with the first filling that most likely touched a nerve and still feeling that sensitivity

I've been going to dekamore for a few years. I have a horrible fear of dentists and being rotated through dentists throughout the last couple of years doesnt help. Back in August I had some swelling that wasn't visible to the naked eye, which spread through my face and down into my neck. I was pretty much blown off. I complained about the swelling… a few times and was referred to first an endodontic which they didn't find anything. I had gone to the ER twice due to the swelling. Went to an ENT twice. So, I hate dentists. Always have!! I had to get a tooth extracted and have been putting it off for a while until I couldn't anymore. Dr. Layer was comforting, professional and answered all 100 questions I had( he is easy on the eyes as well). That said I wish I could give this place a better rating than 5 Star's. I don't hate dentists anymore, now I have just a dislike for them.

I had a dental emergency on a Sunday with my 10 year old who broke his teeth playing soccer. After several attempts we received no call back from the on call provider. I even specified on my messages that he was in a lot of pain. We will not be going back for this reason. Also, there is not enough room for mom to sit in exam rooms and the waiting room feels dirty.

I have never been so disappointed or so frustrated.
I received a denture and a partial from here. The service included all necessary adjustments and a final realignment, after the required 6 month waiting period.
When the time came for the final realignment I was told that they would not do it.
I was told that I had been in for so many (allowed) adjustments that they "knew" that I had "unreasonable" expectations and that I would have to see a specialist, in Chicago. All the phone numbers that they provided were incorrect!
My expectation was that my upper denture would not

I went here for app. 4 yrs. Within that time span I had lots of dentists leave after a short amount of time working there. My more recent "new" dentist there frequently asked for supplies that the office didn't offer, meaning there were more better ways to provide care that this facility doesn't provide. But what made me finally leave was when I lost my front tooth & called the emergency number for 2 days & never got a call back. Then, when I showed up there Mon. morning, they told me I would have to wait 2 weeks for a temporary replacement tooth to be made by the lab

Went here as a last minute last resort deal because they were able to get me in that day. Will never go here again. I got a cap put on my tooth last year and since then it has come loose twice. The first time the doctor explained that it was a mistake on their part and there would be no charge. The second time they want to charge me $200 for a mistake that they made. I scheduled a regular teeth cleaning with them before I knew how horrible it was and it lasted 5 minutes if that. My advice is take your money elsewhere.

I like the location and the office. The dentist is very nice and friendly. I am very happy with the service I receive. What stops Dekamore from earning more stars is the wait time. I have been here 3 times and every time I have had to wait over 45 minutes (at least) past my scheduled appointment time. How can I be charged for not canceling with 24hrs notice but when I get there they waste my time waiting.
