Services
The owner of Destin Inshore Charters and Destin Offshore Charters is Captain Chris Kirby. He was born and raised here on the Emerald Coast and has been fishing for over 25 years. He has done everything from inshore bay fishing to offshore blue marlin tournaments, along with commercial snapper and tuna fishing.
Destin Inshore Charters is equipped with two beautiful 22ft Cape Bay series boats that were built right here in the Panhandle of Northwest Florida. Cape Bay Boats is well known for crafting the driest and softest riding inshore fishing boats on the market today. Both of these boats are powered by strong, reliable Yamaha engines, built for performance but also for sound reduction.
Our guided inshore bay fishing trips take place in the Choctawhatchee Bay. You will fish around structures such as docks, bridges, jetties and oyster beds. In the warmer months you may also drift along grass flats with popping corks and live shrimp for some top water action. Are you worried about getting seasick?
This trip is specifically designed to introduce the next generation to saltwater fishing, boating and interacting on the water. Unlike our regular inshore bay fishing trips, this is a shorter and more flexible option to go with the schedule of you and your family. Kid's trips will take place in the calm waters of the Choctawhatchee Bay and Destin Harbor to maximize your child's fish time and experience.
We can take up to 6 passengers; it is an additional $100 per person added to the total for each passenger over 4. WOW!!! What a fantastic experience!!! From start to finish, this was one of the best times my family and I have had on a Florida vacation!
Captain Dalton was a very gracious host. He had already been on two fishing charters today, and we were the third. He treated us with enough enthusiasm and energy, that one would believe that we were the first of the day. His enthusiasm and sense of humor was very welcomed by me and every member of my family.
There were six members in our party. He kept our hooks baited, fish netted, and attended to pretty much our every need, while offering helpful advice

Thanks for a great day on the water Josh! It was a great time for the family to be together and my daughter was thrilled when she caught her first two fish. Josh was very attentive to all of us and always made sure our lines were baited and our casts were accurate to give us the maximum number of fish. We were looking for redfish and speckled trout and got several of each. We are local and we will be back!

Took a 6 hour bay trip with Dalton and it was one of the most fun days fishing I’ve ever had. Took us straight to get bait and after two throws we were full up and on our way to go fishing. We limited out in Redfish and Mangrove Snapper early, caught about 10 more big Reds, Speckled Sea Trout, Spanish Mackerel, all sorts of stuff! He seemed to know exactly where the bait and the fish were and drove us right to them. He’d let us bait the hooks and cast them ourselves and that’s always more fun. We literally caught a fish almost every single cast. I cannot recommend Dalton and Destin Inshore
