Nice cozy living room w/ leather sofa, rocking chair to rock your cares away, recliner to put your feet up and enjoy. Fully equipped galley kitchen with stove, full size refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, small appliances and cooking utensils. Loft with a second double bed and a nice sitting area overlooking the living room, perfect for reading.

Located in Carroll County, on the North Carolina, Virginia border, Fancy Gap is found where US Route 52 crosses the Blue Ridge Parkway. It was named by Colonel Ira Coltrane, who in his boyhood, drove a team of horses across the mountain. He was overwhelmed by the beauty of the gap and named the area The Fancy Gap.

There is no availability to reserve cabins online. There is one elderly lady who answers the phone very infrequently and returns messages even less frequently. After several phone calls and emails to attempt booking a reservation that she already told me was available, I finally got in touch with Linda for her to inform me it had just been booked. I would not count on staying here or getting any response from them regarding your reservation. Poor customer service and bookkeeping skills.

Stayed may 5th thru may 8th 2018, first time we've ever rented anything like this, we usually get a hotel toom, I AM SO GLAD WE DIDNT! We had a very relaxing, and peaceful stay. Linda and gene are so polite, and they gave us our privacy, even though they live on the property.I was so happy to be able to do this at a affordable price! Thank you linda...I'd love to do this again! I will remember it always

Wonderful cabins, everything provided you need and very warm and welcoming. My favorite part was the thermostat controlled gas fireplace. Was a wonderful place to spend Thanksgiving and easy to get to. Located between Fancy Gap and Hillsville, VA, this cabin is the perfect getaway. Remote enough to feel you are in the woods, but accessible to towns and highways. Linda was a great host and provided a fully capable kitchen and lovely décor. Perfect romantic getaway for any couple. All for the price of a Hotel room. Great value and location.
