Gabe Givan is an outdoor living specialist that has been with Sonoma Backyard since 2007. Gabe started in the hot tub service department and grew into sales and management. He enjoys helping his clients put together their backyard project and is always willing to go above and beyond to insure customer satisfaction.
His customers also appreciate his product knowledge and attention to detail. Gabe currently lives in Santa Rosa where he enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two children. Stephen grew up in Sonoma County working in the Family Pool and Spa Business. His passion has always been in designing and building high quality Swimming Pools.

A few years ago my wife and I were driving home from Cotati and we caught a glimpse of a row of multi-colored Adirondack chairs that made us pull over for a closer look. That started a fruitful (and costly) relationship with Gabe Givan and Sonoma Backyard that continues to this day. We've been fortunate enough to be able to furnish and equip our entire backyard, all with Gabe's expert, no-pressure, informative assistance. We can't recommend Sonoma Backyard and Gabe enough.

Great team. We bought a sectional patio lounge set from them. Customer service was professional and responsive from start to finish, from pricing different options, to delivery. When we thought the set had come without the clips to secure the pieces together, they took charge and got the manufacturer to send us the clips. I would definitely buy from them again.

We recently purchased a hot tub, outdoor seating and fire pit from Sonoma Backyards. Gabe Givan was extremely helpful, informative and generous with his time in answering our questions, providing recommendations and even trouble-shooting hot tub set up issues over the phone. He went above and beyond the call of duty by making a house visit to help us determine color choices, and where to put the tub and electrical outlet. We've bought both a hot tub and and are very happy with our experiences. Gabe is always extremely helpful with all our questions and communicates clearly what we are getting and what to expect. No pushy upsell, just great customer service and friendly rapport. We have not taken delivery of our new Marquis hot tub yet so will review that piece later. The umbrella is a collapsible cantilever umbrella that has great coverage and is very easy to use. Also very durable as it gets the afternoon Petaluma wind every afternoon and has no issues.

We have purchased a few items over the years. Always a great selection and quality items. Our umbrellas have really held up! Most recently we purchased a hot tub from them. Gabe was the salesman who helped me and he really went above and beyond! He is very knowledgeable and helped me pick just the right spa. I never felt upsold, in fact I ended up with a less expensive model. I needed some electrical work and special/challenging delivery location and he patiently guided me through my questions and phone calls.

Sonoma Backyard is THE place to purchase your hot tub. The price is hard to beat and the service was top notch. This was my first time purchasing a hot tub and it was for my rental property. To say I was shocked when I heard how expensive it was is an understatement. So I did some more research and found that I couldn't find a cheaper hot tub for the hot tub I was looking for. We had nothing but exceptional, professional, and outstanding service from the time we walked into Sonoma Backyard. Gabe helped us pick out a hot tub to be installed in our home that was supposed to be rebuilt. Unfortunately we wont get to move into that house after all. My husband and I have been to Sonoma Backyard many times as looky-loos over the past few years to admire the beautiful spas and furniture that the store has to offer but we didn't think we would ever make the investment in a new spa.
As we got serious about our hot tub desires we decided to try to purchase a "refurbished" spa elsewhere to save some money. Long story short after MONTHS of back and forth with the previous spa dealer we finally got our money back for the spa that was YEARS older then we were told with many broken features.

My husband and I had been looking at swim spas and had gone to a few fairs and sales, after looking at them there we decided to go into Sonoma Backyard. Gabe was our salesperson and he is wonderful! He was very easy to work with, explained options and answered numerous questions. We ended up buying a floor model swim spa and an outdoor kitchen island. I have seen their sign from the 101 numerous times and heard them advertised on KSRO Fm and finally went it to see what hype was all about and I can happily say its hands down the Best Patio Furniture Store I have ever visited! What an incredible selection of high quality American made, CA & NY and Sustainable Bolivian made furniture, by Jensen which has a great company culture. Sonoma Backyard has very high quality outdoor furniture and an amazing staff who went above and beyond the call of duty for us! We purchased a discounted, showroom model beautiful outdoor kitchen that came with a propane BBQ grill. They overnighted us a conversion kit so we could hook it up to our natural gas. When the kit was delayed beyond the date for our celebratory BBQ, they came over and hooked up propane so that we could have our BBQ.
