The Plum was established in 1967 when founder, Isaac Mishkin, made the bold move to expand his family's millinery business and transition into women's bridge fashion. Isaac used his knowledge of buying and selling women's fashion to open "The Plum" in the heart of downtown Harrisburg, PA. Due to great success, he then opened the second Plum in Camp Hill, PA.

I was referred to this store by a very fashionable PA resident a few months ago. I decided to make a visit there during my latest trip to Harrisburg as I had a little extra time than normal. As soon I walked in an elderly man greeted me with..."what do you need".... my response was "I'm just browsing". This man followed my every step around the store and consistently recommended dresses to me that I wouldn't wear if I were blind as my keen sense of touch would pickup the hideousness! When I picked out a dress that matched my style and size ....his response was ...
