I had 2 unexpected surgeries at Wilson Medical Center and was very pleased with my care and treatment. The first was an emergency appendectomy after hours in February. The second was a gallbladder removal 6 months later which was also urgent, but scheduled during regular hours. Both my husband and I were respected and cared for well. Especially during this time of CoVid, I was most grateful for their care.

I have been away from the Wilson area for 20 years and the hospital has definitely improved since I was last there. I have had very good experiences in the last few weeks. The staff has definitely improved, patient navigator Lisa Herndon is excellent at her job. She cares about people, her kindness and compassion shows in everything she does!!! Thank you WMC.
I would like to add an update, I had surgery yesterday (1/4/2022) and I can't say enough good things about the care I was given. Nurse Kimberlin and Nurse Robin treated me with nothing but kind, compassionate and , professional care and Dr

The worst hospital ever they dont communicate well with parents family members my husband been up there since 6am. Don't call the patient's family member and tell them that you're sending him home by MedExAnd then an hour later had the decency to call them and tell them that you haven't called Medics yet because he's getting IV fluids. Your hospital has the worst staff for nurses and their snooty and not politeI'm only giving you one star he majorly need to improve

I AM SO GRATEFUL TO GOD for the treatment I received during my stay here. Overall the experience was 4/5 stars and I give this stay a 98/100. Dr. Lawrence Yenni & PA Christian were 100% on their game of course. These two men are amazing. They were concerned, focused and got the job done in excellence. Thank you ❤️!
The rest of the staff were nothing short of amazing, ESPECIALLY NURSE Hortense Williams!!!! Hortense Williams is called, chosen and walking in her purpose as nurse and caregiver. Thank you to all of my nurses (Sherry, Sarah, Wendy, Susan & Ronda). You guys rock!
Thank you Anesthesia

I delivered all three of my daughters at Wilson Medical Center and received excellent care each time. The Labor and Delivery staff, Postpartum staff, and Nursery staff were all very attentive and caring. Lori Brown, Kristie O'Neal, Amy Browder, Ashley Etheridge, Amanda Daniel, Hannah Artrip, Ashley Beverly, Mary Flowers, Hortense Williams, and Catherine Mynatt were some of the amazing staff that took care of me and my girls. The anesthesia department is also wonderful - Dr. Burnette and Bill Hubbard provided great pain relief!

I went to Wil-Med for eye surgery by Dr. Milan Genge. The staff was amazing. No waiting, super fast, efficient Nurses, Doctors & techs in the eye surgery dept. Everyone was kind, polite, courteous & professional! Dr. Genge did a great job on my eye & I could hug every person I met at the hospital from the sweet lady @ the information window, to Edie & all the other wonderful ladies who prepped me for the cataract op. Bless their hearts, every one of them. Color me a happy Vietnam Vet!

This hospital is the worst hospital I’ve ever been to. Waited 5 hours just for them to tell me something I already knew , and instead of prescribing something , they had me wait another two hours before they even let me go. So I waited 5 hours for nothing , instead of getting the help that I needed. They literally make you sit there for hours instead of getting through the people who are in pain. If you dont want to die, don’t even bother coming to this place! Absolutely ridiculous and rude experience!

Could not be more thankful for my care while at WMC. Even in a chaotic pandemic setting, the staff handled my emergency as fast as they could. Nearly every staff member was genuinely sympathetic to my situation. So glad to know that quality medical care is so close to home. I can be a difficult patient and I have a complex medical history. I'm very grateful for my care at WMC.

Remained in ER for several hours and during that time all three were working laborious during my brief stay. Yes, they were that good

Quality care, greatly trained and experienced staff, amenities just like a larger hospital except with a grand sprinkle of knowing how to treat each and every patient like a member of their own family.
The staff and facility have treated myself and family. Highly recommended. 15 minutes from most places in SE Kansas.
15 minutes is a minimum time spent traveling to a larger hospital in a bigger city...why not drive the same 15 minutes and get treated like royalty.
