I wanted to bring my mother in law to Mexican Village to see some cute shops and restaurants. When we arrived, it smelled amazing and made us so hungry. The shop has a lot of parking space so it was easy to access. There were so many unique figures, pots, clothings, and decorations.
You have to be really careful to not touch anything as a lot of items are easily breakable. I was looking for a penguin figurine and did not see one today. They had other animals too though. The shop owner is very nice too and shared some information about the area.

Love this store. About 10 years ago I bought a molcajete (mortar & pestle) and the owner gave me a beautiful explanation about curing it and some history. Very festive displays, some of everything. Glad to see them standing the test of time.

A little disappointed about a dress I bought here. The fabric had beautiful, colorful embroidery on it that's what Drew me to it. Paid over $50 for it. The fabric was red cotton that bleeds, the quality of the cotton was not very good. They have have many pretty things there, just won't buy any more clothing.

3 stars because itβs such a cool and eclectic shop. The other two are missing because my husband and I felt racially profiled π. I made it a point to keep my hands in my pockets once I noticed the woman behind the counter was following us. She barely said anything when we walked in, but was suddenly so nice and chipper when two white guys came in shortly after us π. I bought two amethyst stones (theyβre my faves) anyways...π€·πΎββοΈ

The lady who worked here (or owned it ) was so so nice. I loved the assortment of everything from Day of the Dead Bingo to Jewelry to Cowboy Hats. It's all well priced and the variety is lovely. Everything is very authentically done and I enjoyed seeing things I've only read about. There's a lot of product so it's a little narrow to walk through so people with disabilities should be mindful of that. I can't wait to go back.(Grandma too! )

This is one of the best places to shop in the city! Full of unique and authentic housewares from Mexico. It is laid out well, and quite spacious. You can find traditional Mexican folk art (crosses, Punched tin hearts, mirrors, etc., sun and moon ceramics, paper flowers, corn husk dolls, and cartoneria) as well as clothing, and cowboy boots. You can also get your typical tourist kitsch sombreros and flags. The prices are quite reasonable and almost every product is made in Mexico, not overseas.
