Services
Growing up on a farm in Iowa is great especially when you have a dirt bike to ride! Tom started out on a little Yamaha DT80 and from there they just got bigger and faster and currently rides a 2003 Honda CR 250 2 Stroke motocross bike for fun and a FZ-09 street bike for fun and commuting. But, let's go back a step.

Who what where when
Not familiar with the area or other local shops nearby I called in DWS Powersports on a Monday looking for a shop to replace front flat shot tire on a 08 gsxr 600 which I use as a commuter therefore need a reliable bike. Both Sandy and Tom were professional over the phone regarding maintenance service I dropped off bike at shop on the same day and Tom had bike ready to be picked up the next day Tuesday morning with brand new tire. Yes I’d recommend this shop stop by talk to Tom.

2002 KLR 650, (daily rider)- Tom was nothing but helpful. He has great knowledge of motorcycles and was able to not only get my bike back on the road quickly but also pointed out additional issues I had not noticed before. I will definitely bring my bike back for regular maintenance! When you visit the shop you can tell that everyone who works there is willing to help. Additionally, there is a small store in the front with multiple items for riders like helmets, jackets, filters, tires, chains and such.

DWS Powersports is the only place I bring my bikes. Tom and Sandy are always friendly, always fair, and really easy to work with. I brought my newer motorcycle by the check in on work for my older motorcycle and Tom came right out the see it and do a quick complimentary inspection. The rear brakes are getting kinda low. Prices are good and the work has always been solid.

DWS is my new favorite motorcycle shop. Outstanding customer service and professionalism from the team there (Tom & Sandy). Extremely organized and efficient, and excellent communication throughout the lifecycle of the transaction. I took my rear wheel in for a tire replacement, and boy were they fast!

When I first bought my bike (used, 10 years old), I didn't have a lot of experience shopping for mechanics. After getting burned by local dealerships and by tire shops run by "bros" hellbent on selling "tire warranties", I tried looking for someone I could actually trust.

I came here on Friday, October 12, 2018 at around 13:00. Thanks to the power of Yelp reviews and Google reviews, you are all right on bringing your motorcycles in here. I was greeted by Tom when I came in. I told him that my Yamaha R3 needed new tires especially the rear. I had previously patched it and it leaked in 3-4 days and it was leaking badly. I also asked Tom to do an oil change and lube the chains. He told me that it would be done at the end of the day. However, I had to go and do my volunteer work so I was not able to pick it up on the same day. It was a bummer that they do not open on

I was really impressed with Tom's honesty, knowledge and professionalism. Instead of charging almost $200 to put on a brand new chain, Tom offered cleaning and adjustment for only $27. Now my bike rides smoothly like new. Tom even went above and beyond with inspecting the vehicle, readjusting tires pressure, cleaning the bike and took it on a test ride (for no charges). At the end of the service Tom offered some valuable tips on vehicle maintenance. This is the type of family owned business that operated on honesty and professionalism. I strongly recommend DWS Powersports to all San Diego riders

I initially contacted DWS for service on my busa that was acting up. They had great reviews on Yelp which and they where closed to where I live in San Diego. I notices they had a bike in stock for sale I had been looking for. Tom the owner was very friendly and we negotiated a fair deal we both agreed on. Navy Federal pre approval made the deal a breeze. Fantastic shop, good people. I highly recommend them!

Tom is one of the nicest and honest people you can do business with. He rebuilt 2 of my jet skis and helped me understand all the little aspects of how to keep them running great. His knowledge of jet skis is impressive. Ended up having a small issue soon after and he went out of his way to stay later than business hours so I could get my jet skis to him that day to have them back in time before our next river trip. If you need work done this is your place. Family owned and small town kinda feel. All of my business will be with him going forward!

Tom and Sandy are great! Been going there for 4 years. I would recommend DWS to everybody, Tom is honest and always does a great job. He worked through many electrical issues with my Triumph and recently replaced a blown engine on my Yamaha looks like brand new every wire in its place and even cleaned up the bike.

It's my second time coming here, first one was i had them mounted a new rear tire on my 2015 hondacbr600rr, they did an awesome job! Plus tom and sandy are pretty awesome and nice! And the dogs! What lovely dogs! Second time coming here, now it's for the front tire. And i also had them fix my exhaust mount which just broke outta nowhere and they a fantastic job! It's solid and looking new again! This would be my goto-shop in the future!
