I didn't have a chance to call the office during normal business hours, so I called after hours on Friday, October 1st. I have recently been placed on antibiotics and pain medication due to an infection after carpal tunnel surgery. I called to inquire about a possible refill on a medication until my follow up appointment on Monday, October 4th. When the call was answered and I explained my situation, I was treated as if I was a joke, chuckled at, and told very rudely that they don't fill any medications on the weekends. I do not appreciate the hostility or the way I was spoken to by the

Had total knee surgery Friday, July 23rd with Andrew Stoeckl/Excelsior. From the outset I was completely comfortable with the amount of care and personal attention I received. Dr. Stoeckl asked about my level of activity before my knee got really bad and understood that I wanted to be active again before I was too old to be active again! They took a multitude of xrays and then i had a consult with the dr. I asked whether a partial was a possibility and he informed me that I was way past a partial. All my cartilage was gone and I had pretty bad arthritis under the knee cap. He explained the surgery

Went to a surgery consult with my wife here. Being in a family, and myself being the main provider, I consider this a huge family decision. Not only was I told my wife couldn't be with me for the consult with the doctor, I was asked don't you have a phone? i Understand covid but being rude and having great disregard for patients if definitely first in my book. I'll be going somewhere else for my future needs and surgical procedure.

My son may have torn his ACL at football practice, and we are here getting a MRI. I've come to learn that this is best place for broken bones or sports injuries. Better than emergency rooms. They typically send you here anyways. This should definitely be your first stop. They are almost always busy. But, you make an appointment and it's quick. No hours spent wasted in an ER

Fast track will keep you there for 3 plus hours and you will never see an MD. Just a recently graduated PA who uses the term 'bro'
Your best bet is is to find a MD and book an appointment with them

Updated review 12/22/20: I was referred to Excelsior Orthopedic to have a permanent cast placed on my right wrist and forearm after a motor vehicle accident the night before. The physician assistant who examined my x-ray, was professional and courteous and communicated medical information well.

The professional Who applied my fiberglass cast knew what she was doing and explain everything. What not to do with this type of cast etc.

However for my one week follow up appointment, I did insist on seeing a medical doctor, as opposed to a nurse practitioner or a physicians assistant. If you read

Where to begin.... I woke up one day and I was broken.
It was very confusing to me, but I was referred to Excelsior Orthopaedics and have been having repairs done there ever since.
All of them came as complete surprises as opposed to waiting for arthritis to get to the point where you need a knee replacement.

I've had two surgeries on my hands followed by physical therapy.
The physical therapy department was efficient with no long waits.
The therapists all look so darn healthy and fit and we all look like we are duct taped together, but if we keep up the good work we can look like them

I'm not sure why this place has such a poor rating. Today I had an appointment at the office they have in Niagara Falls. It was with Dr. Wilkins, his team was great with examine my knee. I was in there for about an hour, which is good considering all I had done. I was given a shot of cortisone in my knee and went off to work. My knee feels great.

Wait time was excessive. Three visits in 1 week, and three errors for a broken finger. Excessive Xrays. I would never return. Also the waiting room was filthy. The outside of the building and reception areas are beautiful. Was this originally an old medical building?

I refuse to give this place any more of my time or money... It was a big mess since the first time I went there. I kept trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I just can't justify it anymore. This place has no coordination, nor respect for your time.

I had injured my knee and went to a hospital that recommended I follow up here. I called Sheridan Drive location to make an appointment with the Doctor I was told to see (Wilkins) and I specified that I wanted to see him. They asked what time I wanted to come in, and I informed them that evenings work best for me. We scheduled an

Well, I had the left shoulder operated on-Dr Reed said this was the worst torn rotator cuff he'd ever seen, and it took quite a bit longer to repair. He said he came pretty close to sewing me up, and scheduling a shoulder replacement! Eek! It seems that if it could be torn, it was, and if it could hold arthritis, it did. As with my first operation, Dr Reed took the time to show me on the MRI, what he had done, he even showed me photos of the operation, of the damage, and the repairs. He earned his paycheck that day, as even I could see the damage! And, as before, at every post op check

Dr. Ostempowski (great doctor) did my Full Knee Replacement 3 years ago. He recently moved his practice to Excelsior Orthopaedics. This was my first time seeing him since he moved. Office appears to be well organized and clean. Staff was friendly. Check-in was quick. Didn't have to wait too long to be called. Waiting room wasn't too crowded when I got there but was crowded when I left. Guess I got lucky. Fortunately they have free wifi to keep you occupied while you wait. I recommend completing and updating your medical history on their patient portal to avoid having to fill out paperwork

Place doesn't care about Patients or Patient Care, only the $$$. Refused a fresh urgent workers comp patient because they didn't like the claim # INSURANCE COMPANY said to use until it could be fully processed Monday. Not everyone needing treatment is lucky enough to get injured first thing friday am.... but any Drs office that puts billing first, clearly isn't in it to help people.

After a year of being tortured by Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, I visited Dr. Kelly to see what I should do. He confirmed that I had CTS, and suggested surgery.

I had nerve testing done prior right here at Excelsior, which showed nerve damage, and confirmed the need for surgery. The Dr. who does the nerve testing is great, too! So, I got everything set up. Up to this point, my fingers had been numb and/or tingly for a year, and the pain I had been dealing with was so bad that I could barely hold a pen on some days. I would frequently wake up in the middle of the night with arm pain, and be on the verge

Find the right doctor and keep them. Like I did. If you are not getting the answers, just start looking again, the right one my even be in the same practice. Dr. Matuzak knows what he is doing and tells me what, why he doing it. Some of the other doctor in the practice are good too. Dr. Day took care of my bride's knee.

This is a very difficult review for me to write. I have seen/dealt with both sides of this Orthopedic practice, the good and the bad.

In March of 2005 I had an accident that caused a compound fracture to my left leg. To say it was ugly would be an understatement. I won't get graphic however there were protrusions emanating from my leg. I was taken to Mercy Hospital at 7.20am. Long story short, I was told I needed surgery to fix the protruding elements.

Side note here - I worked for a physician that was "on call" many weekends however he was never in Buffalo to respond to those
