Very beautiful historic place to stay. Friendly host and delicious breakfast. Very clean and organized such a large place was so much maintenance upkeep and preservation to do. Good luck as you continue look forward to coming again. Wished I would have taken a few photos so that I could post because those in the advertising didn't do it justice.

From the moment we stepped into the door to stay the night we were greeted by leah who had grown up in the house. Leah knew every little detail of the house and made sure we were taken care of first thing. She explained shut down at the end of the night and breakfast procedure of the morning. Everything went off without a hitch and we were more than comfortable in the house. We even got some cute local goodies left for us in our room. We enjoyed our stay so much and can't wait to go again!

The mansion was absolutely beautiful! Very comfortable and clean. Each room has its own theme and they’re all so cute. Tons of plants as well which I loved! Bed was super comfortable. Super nice showers and tubs as well. The owners are so kind and helpful. My boyfriend and I came to see the town and tour the campus and they were very quick to offer restaurant suggestions and advice for anything involving the school or town. $100 a night plus tax well worth the price! Would recommend to anyone coming to Stay in emporia

Over Thanksgiving we rented a room for three. Loved the historic mansion complete with marvelous antiques. Susan fixed delicious creative breakfasts which were elegantly served in various places to enjoy in the Mansion. Brad was a superb tour guide, showing us not only the mansion but also some of the historical places in Emporia. He went beyond what was expected. When they tell you to enjoy all parts of the mansion they mean it. We even used the kitchen in the basement to entertain family.

I booked the Gufler Mansion for a friend’s birthday party and it was a wonderful weekend! We planned ahead and Susan was so helpful with the details. We wanted to have a birthday dinner as part of the celebration there and she gave us several meal options to choose from. Dinner was delicious (dessert was creme brûlée and superb) and the entire experience was incredible. Susan and Brad go above and beyond to make sure every guest feels welcome, comfortable, and enjoys their stay. We’ll definitely be back!
