Home Sleep Studies test patients to determine if they have a condition known as sleep apnea. There are two kinds of sleep apnea: obstructive sleep apnea and central sleep apnea. Obstructive sleep apnea is much more common; patients with obstructive sleep apnea experience the throat collapsing during sleep, which causes them to snort and gasp for breath.
Spirometry is a Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) that measures lung function, specifically the amount and/or speed of air that you can inhale and exhale. We test our patients using Spirometry to assess conditions such as asthma, pulmonary fibrosis, cystic fibrosis, and COPD (chronic bronchitis and emphysema).

So I got in a motorcycle wreck I Slidell the hospital er doctor screwed my arm up. Made appt at medicine clinic the girls making appts got me in quick, I saw LindsayForet APRN,FNP. I have never been treated so awesome she fixed me up and talked to me like we were friends for years, Dr.Metz even came in and looked at it when my appt wasn't even with him. So from appointment to the wonderful young girl expecting a baby to Lindsay Foret and Dr Metz, you all are the best never been somewhere so awesome . Lindsay Foret I'm healing great, see ya in a week😀

I just left here with my elderly father. I am impressed with how nice the staff is and how helpful my doctor is with explaining his condition and getting the appropriate tests ordered. We were really dreading getting him out and to the doctor, but I feel nothing but relief and like we have a solid plan going forward for his care. I'd recommend the Medicine Clinic to anyone who asked.
