Mobile Crisis Team MH Practitioner On call Staff: This on call position will be a part of the adult and children's mobile crisis team providing crisis services to consumers who reside in Douglas, Grant, Stevens, Pope and Traverse Counties. Strong communication skills, flexibility and ability to work independently required.
This position is for flexible on call shifts with pay of on call $4/Hour and Response $24/hour. A valid driver's license, vehicle and cell phone required. Region 4 South Adult Mental Health hosts an advisory committee meeting where stakeholders made up of providers, consumers and family members gather to discuss and work on improving the local mental health service needs. The purpose of the CONVERSATIONS initiative is to implement systemic change in the delivery of community-based mental health services for adults who have a serious and persistent mental illness.
Region 4 South offers Assertive Community Team (ACT) in Grant, Douglas, Stevens, Pope and Traverse counties. Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) is an intensive, comprehensive, non-residential rehabilitative mental health service that uses a team approach.

Services are consistent with Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services, except that ACT services are (a) provided by multidisciplinary, qualified staff who have the capacity to provide most mental health services necessary to meet the person's needs, using a total team approach; (b) directed to persons with a serious mental illness who require intensive services; and (c) offered on a time-unlimited basis and available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year.

The team provides crisis assessment and interventions which offer opportunities to de-escalate a situation or problem and help people develop individualized strategies for their future concerns.
