The owner is a flaming racist a-hole. The last time we were there, he had unbelievably insulting, bordering on criminal, displays of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama posted throughout the store. We haven't been back to Spring Lake for several years, and this store is one of the reasons. I'm sure by now he probably has a cardboard cut-out of our misogynistic, racist, unqualified "president" holding an American flag. Do yourselves a favor, and either avoid the store altogether or if you must shop there, try things on, note the manufacturer, and buy it online for much less than

My mother lives in Spring Lake and I visit regularly. I am a reasonable, open minded person but I found this store and it's racist literature posted all over the place disgusting. My kids ,who are adults would come by with their friends to look at the store window as an example of how intolerant and mean spirited people can be . And The fact that a store like this can thrive in Spring Lake only put a stain of intolerance and racism on the town itself. I only hope the store stays closed for good and the owner posts his racist ideas on the Internet for people who are like-minded who want to

I found this store extremely disappointing. I wanted to buy nice clothing for my father and I don't care what political stance you have, but to post up incredibly inappropriate pictures in your store to show your hate towards certain political figures is just ignorant and immature. I know this guy is older who runs the store, but he needs to grow up. It's a clothing store - not supposed to be political. Good thing I didn't bring any kids into that store. I would not want to teach our children the hate that is obviously shown here.

I was disgusted to see all of the Trump BS outside of the store but I must say it did deter me from walking in and buying my husband clothes. Sorry no business for you and your make America Racist Again campaign. Honestly, as a person who is thinking about buying a place at the shore, this makes me want to avoid Spring Lake.

If I could give zero stars...or negative stars, I would. Lame store with ignorant owner, undeserving of tourist dollars. Spring Lake is a beautiful beautiful town. I grew up there; but they should be ashamed to have such a hate filled store mar the rest Main Street. That this rube is still in business is an indication that nothing has changed in Spring Lake. It was always an exclusive, narrow-minded and very very racist place. I could never live there again. Shop elsewhere.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The clothing is ridiculously overpriced, selling mediocre brands for high end prices. Moreso, the store is filled with racist, hate-filled propaganda. An example of white nationalism and make America white again. That this otherwise peaceful town tolerates this hatred is a big black eye for Spring Lake.

You will be sized up the second you walk in and if the old dude that owns/runs this place doesn't think you have $$$.....you will be treated rudely! My fat credit card was ready to be used until he was insulting...very insulting! Too many other stores to shop in and spend my money that will not treat me like I'm 'beneath him'! Too bad because I do like the clothes and I was anxious to spend some money on my hubby! Spent it elsewhere and on clothes just as nice. Sorry you missed out on several hundred dollars of my money Skuby! Not really.....I have no reason to apologize.

I've never left a review on Yelp but was so appalled by the unabashed hatred, racism, sexism, xenophobia and homophobia on full display in this store that I couldn't possibly not say something. It made me sick to my stomach. What a disgrace. Seeing this 1 week after what happened in Charlottesville and the tepid and irresponsible responses by our so called president - for whom a shrine has been erected in this store - was truly disgusting. I am embarrassed for the town of Spring Lake.
I hope people realize there is a beautiful men's shop just across the street called Village Tweed

I feel so dirty. :-( It was a sidewalk sale, the linen shirts were heavily discounted and before I knew it, I was at the register part way through my purchase before I had completely processed the racist filth around me. I saw the window of the Skuby store this morning and was horrified. Aside from anything else, what lessons would children learn if they saw the rantings of the owner, a Mr. BIll Skuby. How to disrespect the President would probably be the first lesson. Aside from that, and after further investigation of such a hater, it seems that the owner feels that as long as he has a biracial grandchild, he could not be considered a racist. I do not work in the mental health field, but the volume of anti-Obama items in this storefront is at a psychotic level. I googled the place when I got back to my hotel and found some articles from 2012 where the owner defended his use of an edited image of Obama as a witch doctor. Not sure if it was there in 2012, but now, among countless other hateful display pieces, there is actually a photo listing of past Presidents of the US in their military uniforms and when it gets to our current President, Obama is photoshopped to be wearing a turban. This one stuck out to me as it should be offensive

We have visited Spring Lake several times and every time, we make a trip to this store. The owner's political tastes are his own and he is entitled to them. However, during this last trip, it became too much. His blatant display of anti-Obama hatred borders on something that to me, feels like Naziism. Have a healthy disrespect for the POTUS? That's your right. Cram it down your customers throats with not one, but several hateful displays of your dislike? Distasteful. #Niceclothing/takingmybusinesselsewhere.

We were visiting Spring Lake in October and happened to be browsing Main Street. We met the owner of this store and found him to be VERY PATRIOTIC and I found no offense in his opinions about the current political state our country is in at this time.

Do not patronize the bigoted owner of this store. He exhibited a picture of our President Barack Obama dressed as a south seas cannibal with a bone in his nose.This was shown proudly by the owner on NBC televsion in Philadelphia who reported on his "halloween" decorations on the nightly news on October 9 2012.
The owner of this store does not deserve the patronage of any thinking person.
