My name is Ken Ramsey and I believe that if you want a true theater experience in your home, then there's a system to fit almost any budget. I'm passionate about this stuff and I love it! That's why Dr. Hook It Up was founded. We've been pulling wires and cables in homes for over 15 years and we've seen the "Media Room" phenomenon evolve from a rich man's novelty to a system of products that's well within reach of most homeowners.
What happens when someone accidentally pushes the wrong button and suddenly the screen goes blank?. Is that remote control sitting on the coffee table next to all the others because it wasn't programmed or doesn't do the job you had hoped it would?. Dr. Hook It Up offers custom remote control programming services that will move your Home Theater and Home Entertainment Systems to one, workable remote that can be easily used by the whole family.
Surround sound has been around for a while now in one form or another, but it never had a platform to bring it into the mainstream before HDTV and digital media like the DVD became so available and popular. But now by combining the right equipment, a person can actually very closely simulate the movie theater experience right in the comfort of their home whenever they want.
Each system we design and install is meant to provide the best viewing and listening experience. In order to create such an experience, we perform speaker level balancing for surround sound systems and color calibration for TVs and projectors. These services will allow movies in your home theater to be seen and heard the way directors intended them to be.
Ken is the audio technician's audio tech. He has been a life saver to my wife and me on countless occasions over the last 10 years. He is a perfectionist and does everything completely and in the best way possible. He has customized our bedroom and family room audio visual entertainment systems and always knows the best way (and most economically sensible way) to meet any goals.

I had Ken (Dr. Hook it up) come by to hide some wires for my surround sound system and run wire the the pool area and garage. He showed up when he said he was going to, performed the work professionally, and did a great job. The house looks clean now, less clutter, and most importantly the wife is happy!! Ken cleaned up when he was done and even moved my furniture back! I recommend him for any home sound system work you need. He was very fair on pricing as well, charged me his hourly rate for what he did. We will definitely use him again if we need more work done to our house.

We were referred to Ken by our neighbor. I couldn't have asked for better service. He came out and gave us a full education on what equipment he recommended for us and a quote for the costs and time to install. He was here on time as scheduled for the install and did everything in 2 days. He fully explained the new system to us, help us set up our phone apps, and cleaned up every spec of the space he worked in. If you need an audio guy - call Ken!

Ken did a fantastic job of installing a pair of inceiling Bose speakers for us. I thought I could do it myself, but 30 minutes of me into the job, I stopped and booked Ken for the install. Thank goodness I did. Ken did a masterful job of fixing my "mess" and installing these speakers the right way.
I like doing business with busy people. This guy is very busy, which tells me he is in demand. I plan to bring him back for more work....home theater, etc.
Ken is also a genuinely nice person. Refreshing to come across in business.

I texted Ken on a Friday night at 6:15pm in a bit of a panic because I needed to have a large TV hung prior to a carpenter installing a mantle over our fireplace, as well as bookcases on each side of the fireplace first thing the next morning. The individual I had lined up had a family emergency and wasn't going to be able to help me for several days.
Ken was very patient in gathering the information he needed in order to determine whether he could assist me. After I explained I really needed the TV hung by 9am the next morning, Ken told me he had a 9am appointment on the opposite side of town

Dr Hook It Up is a pure professional he knows what he's doing, he comes while prepared, everything that he needs he has with him, there's never a doubt in ability to do his work. Fantastic service!! Ken was not able to come out on our original scheduled date. He made sure I was taken care though and came out on a Sunday to install our tv. He not only did a stellar job on the installation, he took time with my husband and I to show us how our new tv works. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is looking for a tv installer.

Three years ago we hired someone else, and we've been living with the mess they made ever since, not to mention the code violations they left us with. If only we'd known about Ken (Dr. Hook-it-Up) then.
He drove 70 miles each way to our beach condo, and spent four hours putting everything right. The result is a perfect setup with no visible wires for three wall-mounted TVs and their accessories - exactly what we wanted it to be. He left the place as clean as he found it, and charged us considerably less than the people who botched the original job. He patiently answered all of our questions, thoroughly

The initial installation was great, but I've been trying to get in touch with the owner for a service call at my cost to no avail. He either has a full mailbox, won't answer or tells me he'll call me back. I've done this for months. I'm done. There is too much competition to run a business like this! I'm sure I'll find a professional that appreciates the business, returns calls and accepts payment!
