The Wasko family has been providing expert root clearing and drain cleaning services in the Grand Rapids, MI area since 1965. We go in with large cutters and we cut the whole root out. We can televise and locate tile problems and fix the problem before it causes tile breakage.
If you sign up for our preventative maintenance plan we will send reminder cards to customers every 1 to 3 years, depending on how long we think it will be before problems will occur with your septic system.We charge a discounted fee for plan members. Most sewer problems are caused by root growth in the pipes, so clearing them solves the problem, but if you do have broken tiles, we will help you get them fixed.

Our kitchen drain was plugged up and my attempt at opening it was futile. We called Wasko Sewer Service and Mike returned our call and said he could be out between 1-3 P.M. He and his son arrived on time and observed our situation under the sink and in the basement. They then started snaking the drain. We had water in the basement near our floor drain and thought it was our clothes washer or a back up. He found out the sink drain had collapsed under the basement floor and the water leak was the pipe leakage coming up through the floor seams. The floor leak was a smelly mess, they cleaned the floor

I had blockage that was slowing down my drain. I called over the weekend and they got back to me first thing Monday. They promptly came over the next day and it was done in an hour. They also gave me some best practices and tips on how to keep my drains clear. They're incredibly helpful and affordable. Hopefully I won't need their services again but if I do, I'll be calling them.

I never write reviews but I have to say after dealing with really bad contractors this past year on 2 remodels; I wish I would have found Wasko sooner! We had a sewer back up at one of our rentals and Larry came out and got it done at a Very reasonable price. Very professional! Don't call anyone else....trust me....I have used them all I swear!

Had the pleasure of experiencing a backed up floor drain in our "new-old" home (1950's). I called and spoke with Mike, the owner at about 8am. He explained everything very thoroughly as far as why I was experiencing the backup. By 5pm the same day I had a completely cleared up drain. Highly recommended!

Great experience with these guys. We've had them out to our house twice for different issues. They're responsive and prompt (everything you need when you're having plumbing issues). We're first time homeowners so very appreciative of all of the tips and pointers they pass along when they're here. They do great work and charge reasonably. Would highly recommend.
