Services
Inspired by the long-running TV show of the same name, Gunsmoke RV Park has been serving travelers to Dodge City with true Western-style hospitality, friendliness, and comfort since 1978. We welcome you to visit our securely-gated, convenient, and neighborly community. We're easily accessible from Highway 50.
Our 94 Western-inspired, pet-friendly, gravel-paved RV sites feature shade trees, full hook-ups, and picnic tables. Most open up to a grassy area. All offer room for slide-outs and have free WiFi. Each site has 2 sewer hookups to choose from in case you want to park toward the front or back of the site.
You're going to love Dodge City! There are so many interesting things to see and do. Boothill, the Longbranch Lagoon, stars on the walk of fame, a trolley ride around town. Because of the strong local cattle industry, you can buy fresh steaks right off the hoof at local butcher shops! Located on the site of Boothill Cemetery, the Boothill Museum offers a fascinating glimpse into Dodge City's glory days as Queen of the Cowtowns.
Put yer trash in the dumpster near the tent area entrance, not in restroom, laundry room or office trash cans. Youngin's must be accompanied by an adult in the pool, restrooms, playground, and game room. We love furry friends, but we also need your help creating a clean, peaceful and enjoyable environment for all cow pokes.

Sites here are gravel but level
There is a pool and a gift shop. The occupants were very quiet when we were there. The owner makes rounds with his puppy. There is some highway noise when one is outside. It quiets down after dark. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the security measures. We Will stop again on our way back home to Iowa.

Owner called us to check on our arrival time. We said we our an hour an half away which would of put us there at 8:14pm. Owner told us he wasn't waiting for us and we are not welcome there. Their Terms and Conditions state check in is noon until 8:30pm. Very frustrating as we been on the road all day. But a reminder why we don't book RV sites that are family owed. They make up their own rules. We have been crossing the United States for 3 weeks and never ran into an issue with late arrival. Every other camp ground tells us to just pull in and when we wake up in the morning come up and check in

Gunsmoke RV Park excels at customer service. From the moment of arrival to the time of departure, the owner is friendly and engaging with his guests. That for me goes a long way. Beyond the interaction, this park has spotless bathrooms and showers, a great laundry room, a very nice swimming pool, and (at least the pull-through sites in the back) spacious sites. The sites have 2 sewer drains, something I really appreciate because I have separate grey and black water drains. The sites have a picnic table and shade trees. There's plenty of green areas to walk dogs. The park also has a great location

We stayed a week at this wonderful RV park. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The pool was great since the weather was in the 90°`s. The game room was closed while we were there. The bathrooms were sparkling clean. Our site was rocked but there are beautiful grass sites available. Lots of trees for shade. All town activities are within a 4 mile radius. We will stay here in the future.

We enjoyed our stay for two nights. Unfortunately it was dusty because wind happens in Kansas and the park has gravel and dirt. However the owners take pride in their park. The bathrooms and showers were nice and clean. The pool looked welcoming and refreshing. Nice little store for souvenirs and some small food or cleaning items. Our site was in the front half of the park across from a really nice tent area, nice green grass area. Just wish the park had more of it throughout. Next time I will request the back half of the park. Being in the front half, we could hear the street activity as well

A great stop on our trip back to Dallas from South Dakota. Just what we needed after a day of pulling our 40 ft 5th wheel. Easy to get to. Friendly, helpful staff, easy pull through access and hookups. We travel with two Labradors and this place was very pet friendly. I will keep this place in our list of stops if we travel this route again.

Viki and her husband were very welcoming. park is nostalgic of the old wild west. sites were large, groomed and clean. sites also had grass & trees. park had full immunities, clean pool & park for the kiddos. park was on the outskirts of town, but only a short drive to historical monuments and attractions. highly recommended for those passing through, or staying longer. HIGHLY recommended!!

Gunsmoke RV Park lives up to its Good Sam ratings. I give it four stars only because I think it is overpriced(but then I think all RV parks over $30.00 are overpriced) Nice clean facilities, friendly staff and everything you would want in a RV Park. Close to many great restaurants, casino and museums. Great for an overnight stop but I would recommend staying a few days and seeing all that Dodge City has to offer.

Really nice campground with friendly, helpful owners. Located on the west edge of town so a nice country feel. We were on the FHU sites toward the back of the park. All of the utilities worked very well and Verizon and ATT service were excellent. Very convenient location to all the sites you might want to see. Some noise from a highway and train track to the south but we didn't find it bothersome. Nice spacing between sites too! We would stay here again.

We was leaving Alabaster Caverns State Park in the pan handle of Oklahoma on a Sunday. Our electoral cord went bad. We was planning on stopping next to this campground however without electric power we would have to cancel our trip and head back hone. However we called them just to see if they would by chance have a 30 amp electric cord. They did. We couldn't believe it. They saved our trip. We booked one night, if we had more time we would definitely stay longer. They just opened the pool and in 100 degree weather it felt really good. A very nice couple. We will recommend this park to all

Great place to stay in Dodge City. New owners July 2017. They were extremely helpful and friendly. Affordable and clean, can't ask much more in a camp!
Pool was deep, cold, and very enjoyable.
Very close to tourist attractions, easy in and out. Nice slots for RVs.
We would stay here again when in Kansas.

Pretty quaint, low-key, and homey; this place is great to kick back and relax. It is just down the road from a bunch of great eateries and shopping. The facilities are well maintained and the bathrooms are clean. If I had to say a negative thing, it would be the noisy trains that occasionally run through right across the street (nothing they can do about it). I'd recommend this place though I used the tent area, not RV. It was secluded and fenced so that no vehicles could back into sleeping campers.
