Services
Eugene Yacht Club is a place for boaters of all interests. We are a member-run organization that has been part of the sailing community since 1940. While our name may conjure up visions of blue blazers and ascots, we pride ourselves on being a casual and family-oriented place. Our goal has always been to be a safe, fun, and affordable club on Fern Ridge Reservoir.
EYC is located at the northwest corner of Fern Ridge Reservoir, which covers more than 9,000 acres. During the summer, moderate northerly winds generally develop in the afternoon and typically last until dusk. The lake's reliable winds, uncrowded waters, and natural beauty all contribute to the excellent sailing conditions we enjoy.
Eugene Yacht Club is located on seven acres on the shore Fern of Ridge Reservoir just twelve miles west of Eugene. We have a newly remodeled clubhouse and youth sailing building, an extensive dock system, and boat hoists and ramps. EYC is a pet-free zone. The only exception to this rule is for members who may apply for permission to bring their dogs sailing.
Under normal circumstances, we've love to invite you to come see what EYC is all about, but during this pandemic, our club is closed. If you'd like to come see what EYC is all about when we can safely reopen, we welcome you to visit. EYC offers several Open House opportunities throughout the year (see Calendar).
Flying an EYC Burgee is a great way to express yourself. Whether you're hoisting it up the mast, representing EYC at a regional or national regatta, or traveling around the world or around the block, we encourage you to show your EYC colors proudly! Kimi, Jac, and Chris make a burgee exchange with Royal BVI Yacht Club manager Tamsin Rand.
