N. Michael Kouskoutis is a local attorney specializing in probate law and estate planning for clients in Pinellas, Pasco & Hernando Counties. When a loved one passes, there are inevitable legal and financial consequences regarding their estate. The Probate of a Last Will and Testament is the first step in the legal process of administering the estate of a deceased person, resolving all claims and distributing the deceased person's property.
Estate planning centered on the disposal of assets and the avoidance or reduction of estate taxes, until recently when medical advances helped people to live much longer. Modern estate plans do still consider taxes and asset disposal, though they have been updated to include how a person lives during their advanced years if they cannot care for themselves.

I wouldn't even give them one star if I had the option. My stepfather passed over two years ago and the family is still waiting for "lost" checks. I spoke to one person who had the checks in hand, yet I was told by another they were mailed two months prior. Checks are now over 90 days old and I'm told we have to wait 30 more days to request a reissue. Multiple checks, all lost, and conflicting stores. It is now August, Order of Discharge was in March. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

Speechless! I was 30 minutes early for my appointment. When I arrived, Michael's administrator informed me the electricity would be turned off in 30 minutes. Michael came out of his office explaining he would take a quick look at my documents. As we sat in the dark, he informed me he needed to put a shirt on and apologized for the inconvenience. As he reviewed my paperwork, he was very unsure of a question so he called a close friend. He informed me what actions I needed to take and then jotted down an example of what it looked like. I felt like he satisfied my request to a degree, at that time

Attorney N. Michael Kouskouts and his legal assistant, Mary, handled my case efficiently and smoothly. They showed compassion and understanding toward me and family during this difficult time of losing my husband. Words can never thank you two enough. This firm is invaluable and is a pillar of our community. I would trust him with my life. May God bless you, Mr. Kouskouts and Mary.

He left us high and dry in the middle of our case then wanted us to voluntarily sign off on his leaving so he can not be held liable for what he advised to us. No way are we signing anything! It is very much his way or the high way if you are a client. We were not notified of a important court ordered meeting and only found out because I emailed his rude assistant when I did not hear from them after a couple of months. His staff is rude and obnoxious. At a meeting with him and his assistant, they stood with one hand on the doorknob, standing in the door as we asked questions about our case, like
