My senior year of high school I was asked by my wood shop teacher (who had a side business renovating houses) to work for him on weekends, and so started my carpentry career. My first summer out of high school I started a two-year apprenticeship with master carpenter and historic restoration specialist, Anton Vermay.
It was a great learning experience as we restored different New York State historical sites in the Hudson Valley. From there I went on to a private custom cabinet shop and learned the ins and outs of fine cabinetry, from building cabinets from scratch in the shop, to completing installations in the field.
