Dr. McPherson is a graduate of Brown University, and received his Medical Degree in 2003 from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN. He completed his residency in the US Army at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, serving as chief resident in his final year of training.
He completed his military service at Ft. Benning and served in many positions, including Inpatient Chief, Outpatient Chief, and Consultant for the Army Substance Abuse Program.He completed two tours of duty in Iraq, serving in Combat Stress Control units. His practice is primarily medication management, with special interests in PTSD, mood disorders, Women's mental health issues including pregnancy and post-partum, ADHD, and substance abuse.

An initial consultation will be scheduled to discuss what is troubling you and whether TMS is an appropriate treatment. At that time, you and Dr McPherson will review your symptoms, treatment history, and possible treatment options. If TMS is the right treatment for you, treatment sessions can be scheduled to begin immediately.
At first I thought that this treatment was just the "same old, same old." In fact, it turned out to be a very relaxing time which I am now trying to duplicate at home as part of a regular morning routine. I always felt that the staff were there to support me completely through follow-up sessions and trying to make me comfortable.
