Services
Most people don't give a second thought to the water that comes out of their faucet until there is a problem. The foundations for Water Works were first established in 1979, when Bob Coakley began his career in water treatment right here in Harrisonburg. At about the same time, Barry Long began his career in water and water treatment at a different local firm.
Water Works is the area's most experienced, locally owned and operated water treatment company. Kinetico water professionals hold themselves to loftier standards. Whether providing a thorough analysis of your home's water, explaining how water systems work or recommending one that's right for you, one thing is certain.
You may already have a water filtration system in your home, but if you don't have a Kinetico water filtration system from Water Works. Maybe you purchased a water filtration system years ago. Maybe it came with your house. However you got it, it might be time to upgrade it to a Kinetico to save money, reduce electricity costs, and improve your water.
A Kinetico Water Softener will provide your family with abundant clean, soft water on demand. From multitank systems powered by the energy of moving water to a more traditional approach, Kinetico covers all your options. Your local Kinetico water professional will work with you to choose the water softener that's right for you.
Kinetico Premier Series water softeners are the ultimate water conditioning solution. Knowing that water and electricity don't mix, it just makes sense (and is brilliant) that these systems operate without the use of electricity. Premier Series water softeners work more efficiently and reliably without electrical components or computers that need to be set, adjusted, repaired or replaced.

I have been a long time customer of Water Works in Harrisonburg. I had the Kinetico water system in my previous home and enjoyed the soft water and the maintenance free system. You do have to add the special salt, but that's it. In October, I moved to a new home where the water is very hard. Quickly, I could see the chlorine build up on the glass shower door and my Keurig coffee pot started acting up. Needless to say, I also started having dry skin issues. I contacted Mark at Water Works. He was instrumental in arranging to have a Kinetico water system installed in my new home and the service guy

Calling these guys was my last resort in trying to deal with water issues. I'd called plumber after plumber with no answers for what was causing water discoloration, bad taste, sediment, etc. I was reluctant to call because I'd heard rumors that Water Works was expensive, or that they'd try to sell me a high priced treatment system. I'm so sorry I waited so long! They were quick to get out for a free estimate and diagnosis of water problems, and their maintenance team did a great job working with my current equipment. Everyone was extremely knowledgeable about the water

Very, very impressed by the amount of knowledge of water systems. Bob came to our home for a consult and provided a number of possible solutions to our water problems. He provided answers about our water issues, where plumbers have failed time and time again in the past. I highly recommend giving them a call.

I purchased a house with a Kinetico water softener system and RO drinking water system. I had many questions answered by phone and when I stopped in to pick up filters again they were pleasant and professional to talk with. When trying to change a filter I ran into a minor problem and they sent a technician out fixed it and talked with me about the system I have. This was by far the best customer service I could ever ask for these guys and gals are awesome.

The folks from Water Works were so courteous and helpful when we recently purchased a new softener system for our new house. The technician who did the install was very professional and we have been thrilled with our Kinetico softening system. Would definitely recommend these guys to anyone who is looking to get the job done right.

Water Works was the second company to come out and review our problem with iron in the water. We were impressed with Mark's knowledge of water filtering and softening as compared to the previous visit by Culligan. Mark took the time to explain his thoughts on what we needed and did not over sell the system by adding components we were not likely to need. We were impressed with the warranty on the Kinetico system as that far exceeded the warranty on other systems. Our system was installed by Brandon who was very friendly and courteous as well as being well qualified to perform the installation.

Fantastic water softener! We’ve been using a Whirlpool softener since 2007 (installed when our house was built in 2005). The water quality with this system was always average. With the Kinetico softener, the water quality is great, zero hardness, and no “silky” feeling after a shower. We also have the RO water system for drinking water and the taste is superior to any bottled water I’ve ever purchased. I highly recommend Water Works Water systems!

BEWARE OF UPSELL
Needed a filter for sediment (red clay) was sold a Katalox filter, which works, sort of. Does not filter all the sediment out. Was told (and made to sign a CYA form) saying this filter might not work because I had iron and needed a salt softener system. Recently had water tested at an independent lab. There is almost no iron in my water and I don't need a softener. So when I called with questions, got no answers and consider this poor customer service. Be careful, they sell and run.

We bought a house with a Kinetico water softening system that seems to be on the fritz. Kinetico's web page directed me to Water Works Water Treatment and when I contacted them, they got back to me very quickly and let me know the system was installed by another Kinetico dealer and was still under warranty with them. Even though they could have made money on me, they did what was in my best interest by referring me to the company where the warranty was still valid. I really appreciate their honesty!
