Pay close attention to your surroundings and landmarks, and relate this to your location on a map. Stay calm if you get lost. Panic is your greatest enemy. Try to remember how you got to your present location. Trust your map and compass, and do not walk aimlessly. If you are on a trail, don't. The most effective way to prevent mishaps is to adequately prepare for the trip.

We were there only for 15 minutes they called for a break and it started to thunder so of course we couldn't go in. We didn't ask for a refund because the last time we went there it happened a again and we were told no refunds. I spent 28 dollars for 15 minutes of swimming. Also the float slide was broken and my kids couldn't go down on it.

The train was a tough thing to deal with. It was a fun place to go for sure but if your looking for a peaceful camping experience this is not it. The train comes by evry hour and a half. Friday/Sat their was a 1 am train and then another again at 5 am. It was better Sat/sun. We tent camp so it was absolutely jarring. Everything else was seriously perfect. Damn train.

Unfortunately, this was the worst campground I have ever been to. We went friday at 5pm, and by 10:30pm we packed it up and came home. There were 2 adults and 5 kids with us and we were bored out of our minds and everything was wrong. Beach closed at 6pm which left nothing to do for the kids. They have an "arcade" if you can call it that, but they were out of quarters so the kids couldn't even play games. The staff didnt know the answers to any questions we asked, nor did they offer to try to find an answer for us. The people around us at our campsite were rude and ignorant. 2 people

I cannot believe that someone gave this place one star. Train??? What train?? LOL, the train goes by and yes if you are not a Seasonal camper there you happen to get the sites by the tracks. I have camped here several times and my children LOVE this place as do I. If you have a travel trailer turn on the A/C and a fan and you will not even notice the train. I cannot wait to be a Seasonal camper here this year!! As far as over served adults and unsupervised children...You can find that at any campground...We have gone here for Labor Day for the past 3 years with a huge group of people. We have never

So, what the slick website doesn't tell you is that there are train tracks on the perimeter of the property and there are trains every hour - day and night - which are quite loud, and have to sound their horns at the nearby intersection. While I admire that this campground is dedicated to military veterans, I expected a family-friendly environment and found a weekend long party with too many over-served adults and unsupervised kids.
