I am acupuncturist and herbalist with a Master's degree in Oriental Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture at MCPHS University and Diplomate of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology from National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

I also hold a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California, and was a founder of an online educational website that provided interactive learning games in Math and reading skills for children.I always believed in natural medicine and in the body's inherent ability to heal itself and that is the reason I decided to study and practice acupuncture and herbal medicine.
What is Acupuncture? Acupuncture is a key component of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) that can be tracked back to at least 2500 years. The theory behind acupuncture is based on Qi (pronounced "chee"), or vital energy that flows throughout the body. Acupuncture is a medical technique consisting of placing needles at strategic points on the body to activate body's innate healing resources.
Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture are complementary therapeutic modalities that are often used together in the treatment of a variety of medical conditions. Over the past 5000 years, Chinese herbology has evolved into an art form of its own. Ancient herbal information was gathered, compiled, formulated, tested, and handed down from generation to generation.

I tried that route and got minimal and very temporary relief at best. When walking became painful, I opted to try acupuncture. Irina worked wonders. She developed a targeted treatment plan on my first visit and confidently set expectations. Not only was she able to provide noticeable relief and improvement after one visit, I left the appointment knowing how long my course of treatment was expected be. Finally, and
