As a health center that strives to have all the health care services you need under one roof, Neighborhood Health Center has brought together the best providers in the area in order to give you and your family the health services you need and deserve. Teresa Short, better known to her patients as Teri, also serves as the Clinical Director for Neighborhood Health Center.

Teresa started her career as an emergency room nurse. After completing her master's degree to become a Nurse Practitioner, she knew family medicine was where she wanted to be because of the relationships she built with her patients. She volunteers at the Siloam Clinic and teaches first aid and emergency preparedness to Boy Scouts.
Services
If you have been searching for a health center that has comprehensive services at affordable prices, you don't have to look any further. At our health facilities, we offer everything from behavioral health to dental services for your entire family. When you seek health services at our clinic, you will receive the best patient care you have ever experienced.
Even the strongest people may find times in their lives when they could benefit from behavioral and mental health services. The providers at Neighborhood Health Center are here to handle these issues with confidence and compassion. We have an expert team of psychiatrists, licensed social workers and certified nurse practitioners who are dedicated to helping with difficult issues.
When you need a provider to look after you and your loved ones' well-being, consider choosing a primary care provider (PCP) at Neighborhood Health Center. We strongly encourage that you bring your family in for regular checkups. Preventative care is extremely important for catching diseases and conditions early on, and managing them so you or your family members can live comfortable and healthy lives.
Neighborhood Health Center, 10th Street Clinic is now a Title X-funded family planning service site serving Wayne and surrounding counties. These important services have not been available in Wayne County since 2015 so we are pleased to fill this gap in our community. Neighborhood Health Center prioritizes the needs of low-income families and uninsured individuals who might not otherwise have access to family planning services.
Going in to see a dentist for your dental problems can be a pricey endeavor, not to mention also inconvenient at times as well. Because of this, it may be tempting to put off dental visits, especially if it doesn't seem so urgent. However, your oral hygiene is extremely important to your overall health, which is why it's very important for you to have your teeth checked up regularly.

Everyone is fairly nice while you're there, just don't ever call to leave a message for your doctor because they'll never get it. If they do, they won't return your call. I called four times for Kasey in July and when finally checked on, not one call had been put in the computer so she never knew I was trying to reach her. I called again last week for her, asking to increase dosages on my medications. She told me that if I needed to, to just call and leave a message and she'd take care of it. Nothing. Guess I'll just run out of my meds!
