I am currently Attending Wyotech here in Laramie Wy, and am very disappointed in cost of tuition compared to what the school has to offer. Wyotech was very good at making itself look very good during the tour and had me convinced this was where I wanted to go. It seems as if the school and staff are more worried about how you look, compared to how they are teaching. I personally have learned very little since I have started here at Wyotech and so far would highly recommend choosing a different tech school.

First off I want to Thank Wyotech for having me out and letting me tour the campus and talk to students. As a former grad ‘95’, I was highly disappointed when they started going down the same path as some of the corporate take your money and run schools. But since the latest change over, I have been keeping an eye on them and have seen Wyotech returning back to that same school I graduated from that had integrity. During my visit I talked to students at random, in which I snuck off to talk with students that I felt weren’t the ones that would be picked for a commercial. I did not talk to

Interviewed here for an instructor position, Took the full tour of the school, beautiful well kept school, nice and polite students.
I got a genuine feeling from most of the staff but their were a few times It seemed as if I was almost being duped into something I shouldn’t be doing, staff was whispering and laughing behind me during the tour ( seemed pretty rude to me during an interview, makes it seem as though they will talk about you like that working there as well) , pay is very low for a diesel position and much less to transfer your knowledge to the youth of tomorrow. I ended up saying

I have taken and enjoyed Collision/Refinishing, Motorsport Chassis Fabrication, Street Rod Custom Fabrication, Trim and Upholstery, High Performance Power Trains and currently taking Automotive Tech. Wyotech is a veteran friendly, highly technical trade school with very knowledgeable and skilled instructors.

This school was basically a scam. Although I achieved high grades throughout they passed kids that cheated, and kids that couldn't find the blinker fluid if you know what I mean. It was a huge 30K rip off and I cant believe they are still in business honestly. Would rate a 0 if I could. The lies about employment rates and job offers were outstanding. The teachers were not top notch either although I did have a great fluid power and electrical teacher.

Don't do it it's a scam. Went here for almost two years was tool leader in classes made all good grades didn't cut up didn't miss a day. Jobs here won't even think about letting me on after they see wyotech. Most military vets don't have to worry about the large debt bill at the end. The 5-8000 dollars paid for an extra elective covers almost 2 to 3 full semesters at my local community college where I'm now enrolled to get a real job. RUN

ATTENTION!!!!! Please be informed that "Wyotech Housing" department is run by fashist manipulators. Be sure you actually READ the housing handbook before accepting your housing and housing stipulation check. THIS IS REAL!! They will go into your room with absolutely no probable cause, rthyme, or reason. Their excuse is cleanliness but, as in my case, they dumped my clean clothes out of a secured job box and then told me to wash my clothing. I was out of town that day and returned to my "home" to find my appartment left unlocked and clothing everywhere. I was like O HELL

I took Diesel, Advanced Diesel, Chassis Fab, and ASM
The cirriculum itself is very good, and the training is great. The teachers teach well, and are easy to get along with.
But thats where he good stops.
The corporate part of the school is god awful. Its the worst business that i have EVER had the misfortune of dealing with.
1. If you pay cash, you will NEVER recieve a bill. They expect you to call them, and give them money. Most rediculois method ever. If you want money, BILL ME!
2. I had set up a cash payment plan, but they lost it.
3. THE BIG ONE! When classes switched from 8 hours a day
