Just recently, we had a wooden fence installed by Peerless Fence - West Chicago. It replaced a 17 year old wooden fence that was falling apart.
Peerless Fence gave us a very competitive price, a realistic time line, and an overall feeling of professionalism.
The crew that did the installation for us ( Alex, Alejandro, and Jose ) were amazing!! They explained the day’s events to us and then had at it. They had the old fence removed fast and cleanly with minimal disruption to our yard and the surrounding yards. Then, away they went on the new fence install. They were like a well oiled machine

Peerless fence gave me a competitive price but unfortunately fell short with professionalism for me. They did wait while I sorted out a property line boundary, but I also gave them half of the money up front, which I’m never a fan of.
The problem has been communication has been hard at times, it seems like the different departments don’t communicate well. After my property line dispute was over, I set up a date for the fence install. I took comp time off from work to ensure everything went smoothly. The fencing installers never showed, I had to call Peerless an hour and a half after the time

Really needed a fence, and was told it would not be installed until end of October. When I received the call they could install tomorrow 9/28 I said absolutely! INSTALLERS were fantastic! On time, went over plan with me, were efficient, picked up any waste from job and completed on time. 100% satisfied!

Great experience from start to finish - fence was installed as promised! Mike Levitzke came out and was very professional & honest on timing to install. The guys came today, worked their tails off & completed in one day! We can now enjoy our backyard with our German Shepherd puppy with room for him to play off leash. Thank you Mike & the install crew!!

With materials being hard to come by, Peerless was the only company to immediately respond to my initial inquiry and provided an estimate that came very close to what I had in mind. I had some very specific requests and all were addressed. I had a very limited choice in materials (again, because of the shortage) and they were up-front about that. I made the choice to use a “company” as opposed to a local handyman because I am so bloody picky and really needed to know that if anything wasn’t perfect, I would get resolution. Good communication, and even though I needed a wider gate than originally

Peerless replaced an old fence with black aluminum fencing and we love it! It looks so nice. The job was completed in one day albeit a long day and the men stuck with it until the job was done. The two operatives were very hard working and competent. All in all it was an extremely pleasant experience. Our neighbors are going to have one installed in their yard.

Update to my prior review. Dean and his team at Peerless contacted me about repairing my vinyl fence. Dean was professional and scheduled my repair quickly. A member of his team came to my house on a Saturday, and repaired my fence perfectly in less than an hour. I could not be happier. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and professional. What a pleasure to receive such outstanding service for a relatively small repair. I highly recommend Dean and his team at Peerless Fence.

I wish there was a zero star for this company so rude... don't call these people, the reception just hung up on me, if we didn't install your fence then we can't service your fence because we are so busy right now. Bad customer service. So non apologetic. Covid has destroyed peoples integrity and kindness.

I am so pissed!! The salesman was wonderful at first, but the process of scheduling was never explained and it's becoming a nightmare. I was referred to Peerless by my sister. She's still in the process of getting her fence installed, however, we took a risk and signed up right away. It's been over a month and no updates. I reached out to our once wonderful salesman and his exact words were it's out of my hands, here's the number, call operations. Whatever happened to customer service and making sure your sales are taken care of. Whatever! I should be getting his commission

Peerless Fence was referred to me by their supplier, Schilling's Lumber company. This is where they get the lumber for all their jobs. So as this Schilling's company works daily with Peerless Fence as their client and of all the names they could have given to me . This is the client Schilling's Lumber recommended . Awful experience. The fence looks fine but they damaged my vegetable garden. I paid $245 to have my garden repaired and they will not reimburse me. In fact, they won't even return my calls! So strange.They do however send my a weekly bill. And now they are threatening to send my "balance due" to a collection agency. I have called at least three times, sent them photos of the damage to my garden...not a peep. They also did not re attach my fence hardware and did not attach one of the posts to my fence. Really disappointed in their customer service.

I called Tru link fence and asked to have someone come out to give me an estimate. A man named Bob came out and he said he would get back to me within the next day or two. I waited a week and finally I called and spoke to a woman in the office. She apologized that he had not gotten back to me and said that I would be able to get a 10% discount and that he would send me an estimate.
When I didn't hear from him again, I called John, his manager. John said that Bob would be getting an estimate to me by that evening. That was about two weeks ago. I've had the fence put up by another company

I wish I read these reviews before going with this company. I also had an awful experience with Tru-Link (which recently relocated from Skokie to Melrose Park). The installation was two weeks after the estimated installation window, which would have been okay if they had ever contacted me to let me know. Instead, I called three time to ask for an update and reiterate that I needed at least one day's warning to take time off work to be there for the installation. None of the people I called had any idea what was going on.
